Kansas City media watchers might have been accustomed to Whitlock's lame attempts at humor but they just don't really play in a bigger market. And while "Big Sexy" (ew) has much better than most former (or current) KC Star writers . . . It's seems that The Star's insular culture can't really prepare their "journalists" for the much bigger and far more critical world of the Internets.
