Your favorite Kansas City Star Columnist who REJECTS MOST INTERNET CRITICISM claims to know what's best for the urban core in his latest opus: "Sensible priorities needed to guide inner-city effort"
It's always nice to see Dead Tree Media writers declare their expertise on a part of town they rarely visit.

Hey Yael, how'd that Funkhouser thing turn out?
ReplyDeleteHow the new Mayor working out?
ReplyDeleteIs he spending all that E-Tax money on his buddies?
Yael is an liberal idiot with an agenda.
ReplyDeleteIf you actually read the column, there's not a thing in it that has much of a chance of success. And not a word about how people behave and do for themselves.
ReplyDeleteThere are alot of broken lives on the east side and fixing broken curbs or building things won't do a thing to change that.
Only responsible parents and others who won't stand for how the little minority of thugs in their neighborhoods are destroying their community can change what's happening around them. There are lots of others who can help, the police being one agency, but as long as the current "leaders" on the east side are listened to and people themselves don't change, all of the rest of the stuff in the column won't amount to anything buyt alot more wasted money.
Too bad.
Yael is by far the biggest shit-stirring ass clown in this city, and in a city that also has Alonzo Washington, that is saying a lot.
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha!!! True Dat!!!
ReplyDeleteBig projects, like the ones Yael advocates for, are what are killing this town.
ReplyDeleteP&L, Jazz District, Green Zone, Zona Rosa...they suck down limited public dollars for fundamentally flawed and overpriced projects, shrink the tax base, overbuild and thus depress our commercial real estate markets- BIG PROJECTS ARE THE PROBLEM, YAEL.
The answer? One needs look no further than Crossroads or the Westside to see great examples of small scale, organic, inclusive development actually works to revitalize an area.
Yael has as much credibility as Alonzo Washington, which is nothing. They cater to ignorance. Intelligent people know better than to listen to these clowns.
ReplyDelete9:01 you said it perfectly. KC has this grass theory of development - you put a plug here, a plug there and pretty soon everything is green. In real life it seldom works that way.
ReplyDeletea list column. nothing to really see. kinda like tony's stuff.
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention that BIG project known as The Citadel.
ReplyDeleteHow'd that work out for he East side, Yael?

If it wasn't for Yael, Tony would be the biggest ass clown in KC
ReplyDeleteYael, Yael, Yael, that brown spot on your nose must come from having it up the anal discharge shute of one George Guestello III, the distinguished butt jockey of Chamber of Commerce, American Royal, Union Station fame. That's another comment for another column. It seems ass clowns play together! Yael and George....sitting in a tree....
