I'm sure there will be a bazillion angry folks there wearing their stylish Fire shirt. They got their raises with retro for three years. They are the major user of the general fund. Heaven forbid the city cuts their budget. To hell with the other city hall folks.
ReplyDeleteI'll be there.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm ready to complain !
This same kind of crap has been going on for decades. That's what KCMO government is about, not about the people who live and work here.
ReplyDeleteSo pass the sales taxes, renew the etax when it comes back up, and keep voting the same cast of characters back over and over again.
It would actually be funny if the stakes weren't so high and the waste of public money so great.
THis is gonna suck.
ReplyDeleteFirefighters didn't get a raise, retroactive or otherwise. FD pay was frozen for 2 years by contract. The city stretched that out to nearly 3. Firefighters still have not gotten their full contractually negotiated pay steps.
ReplyDeleteToo bad there isn't a reporter...a kcreporter...a kcreporter.com ... to cover things at City Hall.
ReplyDeleteBotello certainly blew enough hot up air up the guys skirt with this TKC EXCLUSIVE!
Unless he died or something. Alan McArthur...if you're dead? I apologize.
5:06 complain about what? The fire department taking their less then fair share of the budget cuts?
ReplyDeleteOnce again Tony a LOAN that will be paid back. Give it a break. 500K for a train that will travel 20 blocks? That is definitely worth bitching about because that 500K is GONE FOREVER!
ReplyDeleteThe real debacle is pouring 15-30 MILLION that won't ever get paid back in ANY form to P&L and 18/Vine.
