I'm not sure I understand this bit of political satire from Kansas City artist Jessica Logsdon . . . But judge for yourself how close she captures the likeness of a power couple from Kansas City's beleaguered 6th District.
Frankly, I think Council Dude Taylor & Cathy Jolly are a rather handsome couple and not like mole people at all . . . But maybe that's the joke.
Another "power couple" in KCMO. Do any of these folks ever try to use their "power" for the public's good, or is being a councilmember in KCMO enough?

The artist probably got it right, I doubt she performs oral on him. She probably prefers to look the other way and make certain that she does not mess up her make up.

Tony, since everything goes over your head, I'll explain for you. This cartoon is a subtle reference to Kansas City's underground sex parties of the local political elite that the artist has been witness to as a paid participant (sex slave). One only needs to view the artist's web portfolio of sexually charged images to see the shame and anger regarding her life of sexual servitude. Perhaps this cartoon is a reaction to a deal gone bad?

ReplyDelete'Power Couple ', no good deeds have been done by these politicos, they care the nothing for the people and unfortunately take good care to make sure they are always at an arm lengths away so that they do not have to personally witness the destruction of real people's lives because of the programs they have and continue to implement and champion as successful. They live in gated communities the equivalent of mole-rats underground. I want to see them walking the streets they have destroyed with police powers and their wars on the lower class and minorities, instead of hiding on the west side like cowards.

ReplyDeletePolitical satire has become far to politically correct (and lame). At least this portrays the isolation and dirty dealmaking that we suspect this couple of. Even mole-rats can be beautiful, but they are all dirty (by definition); they are also hidden underground (behind security or confidentiality or "closed door sessions" etc., etc.).
