$44 MILLION FOR KANSAS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL CAREER ACADEMY!!!

A stunner from The Northeast News:

KCPS career academy to cost estimated $44.7M

Call it "good money after bad" or a really expensive place to stage the next arson hoax . . . Either way . . . It's clear the KCPS has never learned much of anything about budgeting.

  1. Pouring money into the Northland, a hideout for Nebraska murder suspects, is sending good money after bad.

  2. As stimulus money has dried up, just where is the funding coming from to supply this school?

  4. This is too early to be an April fools joke. We are squeezing into rooms with 30+ kids in a class and there is somebody who thinks it is educationally viable to build a "video wall". Glass walls... Have these people every taught a day in their lives?

With the kind of money they are spending we could move into the 21th century by getting rid of those costly giant textbooks and replace them with tablets. We wouldn't have to waste money on copiers and paper for handouts and assignments. Every time I want to give out a handout, I have to run a 194 copies.
