TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! DESPITE PRESSURE JACKSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE MIKE SANDERS STAYS NOTICEABLY SILENT ON THE PROPOSED MAYORAL TAKEOVER OF KANSAS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS!!!

Not so long ago, Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders was the final authority on all political ideas in the vicinity of The Courthouse. Now, not so much.
In fact . . .
TRUSTED KANSAS CITY INSIDERS NOTICE THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE HAS BEEN "AS SILENT AS A CHURCH MOUSE" ON THE SUBJECT OF THE PROPOSED MAYORAL TAKEOVER OF KANSAS CITY SCHOOLS!!!
This is interesting for a lot of reasons but first and foremost Kansas City political denizens should take notice because this is a classic example of a local politico caught in the middle of a political battle royale.
On one side, The County Executive isn't going to cross MO. State Senator Victor Callahan. Mr. Sanders needs that Eastern Jack support and won't risk offending a political juggernaut in that part of town.
On the other hand, County Exec Mike Sanders ALSO NEEDS SUPPORT FROM THE CIVIC COUNCIL AND OTHER BIG MONEY CORRIDOR INTERESTS WHO SUPPORT MAYOR SLY'S MOVE TO TAKE OVER KANSAS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS!!!
To wit . . .
JACKSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE MIKE SANDERS IS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF TWO OPPOSING FORCES THAT DEFINE HIS FORMERLY BROAD BASE OF SUPPORT!!!
It'll be interesting to see what he'll do . . . Other than sweat.
And here's some more pressure to add to this hot mess . . .

That's right . . .
GIVEN THAT HER HUSBAND GENARO WORKS IN THE MAYOR'S OFFICE . . . LOOK FOR JACKSON COUNTY LEGISLATOR THERESA GARZA RUIZ TO QUICKLY STAND UP FOR MAYOR SLY'S SCHOOL PLAN AND DRAW EVEN MORE ATTENTION TO THE SILENCE OF MR. SANDERS!!!
Behind the scenes . . . We hear that the pressure is on JaxCo Executive Sanders to endorse this plan from his patrons among the Civic Council and The Corridor . . . They're not going to let it drop.
However, as long as Sen. Callahan is pushing his own plan . . . The Leader Of Jackson County will be forced to walk a political tightrope.
DEVELOPING . . .
I'm sure he's glad for the holiday.
ReplyDeleteMike Sanders is smart and knows when to keep quiet.
ReplyDeleteagreed.
ReplyDeleteDo we really think City Hall and the Mayor can run a school district. Just today we see the out of court settlement of 15 million on the Citadel. Good God, people, wakeup. This city hall needs to learn to take care of its own duties. Why would we want city government being linked to school district?
ReplyDeleteTheresa Garza Ruiz, who stands ready to be the candidate that Victor Callahan beats in the race for for Jackson County Executive when Mike Sanders decides not to run again.
ReplyDeleteMikes star is falling.
ReplyDeleteSanders is wise to stay out of this one!
ReplyDeleteFire up the nightly roundup of GoofTube videos. Maybe start things off with Sexy Sax Man.
ReplyDeleteRun Chicken Run
ReplyDeleteThe die is cast for Sanders , he has now been put on the pay no mind list . He had a holiday when the Funk was in but no more just another grafter trying to keep his job.
ReplyDeleteSanders has always been averse to making decisions.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty new back in KC, grew up here, but gone for 30 years, Sanders seems like a pretty straight shooter, I could be wrong, let me know. I think he is right to keep quiet in this fight.
ReplyDeletedid genaldo and therea MOVED INTO THE CITY YET/ dont think she stands a chance for reclection
ReplyDeleteTheresa Garza Ruiz is not interested in doing anything but promoting Theresa Garza Ruiz. In my opinion she will stop at nothing to further her own career. Lying, cheating, backstabbing and doubletalk will be the hallmarks of her tenure in public office. She is high on the list of reasons to move out of Jackson County
ReplyDelete"Mike Sanders is smart and knows when to keep quiet."
ReplyDeleteMy dear, you are nuts.
Mr. Babble-mouth is now scared silent. Scared. He has no ideas of his own, depends upon others to keep his name in the news. This is just the type of controversy he would love to utilize to hog air time. Yet he is far too much of a loser to support the mayor or stand on the other side and support the citizen's right to put the issue of annexation versus a mayoral overlord to a vote. Skippy fears offending anyone and giving a crap about the school children so he is staying in his safe spot.
He just is too bad a politico to see how the Garza-Ruiz team works. Garza is usually on Callahan's side.
Rev Tindall is also a hard man for Skippy to cross. Tindall helped author the proposal to put Gwen Grant and her brother Clinton Adams in charge of the school district. Mike was silent on that bit of shit also.
Skippy thinks he can run statewide, but he just doesn't get where the Republican lawmakers stand on this one so he, of course, offers no leadership.
Put both proposals to a vote.
Do you think Theresa Garza Ruiz bleaches her asshole?
ReplyDeleteTindall is a crook. He refused to support the Zoo tax unless and until Terry Riley received money from the Zoo campaign. Weekly Tindall does corrupt shit. HE'S high on the list of reasons to move out of Jax Co and as soon as I can find some fool who thinks Jax Co is a good place to live and will buy m house, I'm headed to Cass.
