  1. Here come the lay offs at city hall. No cops and no firefighters will be affected. They all got catch up raises. Once again, the budget will be balanced on the backs of non-union employees.

  2. Many thanks are due to TKC for making this (and many other matters) public knowledge and allowing common folks access to this load O crap.

  5. 3:57, from your mouth to the prosecutor's ears! But methinks Terry "Teflon" Riley will skate on Perfect Output, just as he did on Citadel.

  6. So where are the Occupiers on this one?

  7. And remember, they had to BORROW the money, so it's actually $1.7 million for twenty years= $34 million.
Just more money thrown down the drain by folks who didn't have the guts to say NO to some of the grifters on the east side.
    Right Terry Riley?

  8. Riley needs to answer for the cost before he gets another consulting job.

  9. 3:36--

Cops are non-union as well. And wow, they got a whole 2% increase (not even the 4% that would count as a pay step increase) while the firefighters averaged an 18-30% increase across the board. You're comparing apples to oranges. Most city workers got higher percentage pay increases than the police did. But good try.

  10. To the first poster, really, the PD received catch up pay raises? You speak as if that is a fact, when actually it is a lie. The PD hasn't received any catch up pay raise, and in the last almost 4 years, only a single 2 percent raise. The officers on this police department have now fallen behind Lee's Summit, Independence, KCK, Overland Park and almost every smaller JOCO agency. Those same field officers are also subjected to a much higher rate of assaults against them, more calls for service, but come to work their butts off every day.

You may, or may not, agree with the direction from the command staff, but the officers that work here love this city and continue to protect it with risk of life and limb. It would be great if our city leaders decided to treat ALL of it's employees as well as the other cities in the metro.

  11. 5:11. Management exempt class go 0 percent for the past four years. They will be affected by layoffs because of fire and police raises. For someone who has worked at city halll for 15 years, I will not be able to find a job and lose everything I have. Fuck you very much.

Oh, where will the night take us?

  13. 5:14. Leave the city and go work for Lee's Summit. We can use your salary savings to save someone else's job who has not seen any raise in several years.

  14. Watch for descrimation lawsuits from those laid off.

  15. Fucking cops. You get to take cars home for personal use. You get pay raises. You signed up to be a cop thereby accepting the risks that come with that job. And you bitch. You did not have to worry about your job the last three years. You brutalize people and cost the city money in settlements. You say you love the city but most of you live east or raytown or north of gladstone. You have no attachment or appreciation for the city. And yet you bitch. You hire a lobbyist. Your people eat well. You get to use city cars to make money on the side working off duty. And you bitch.
I say shut the fuck up. Or go get a job in overland park, or wherever you think the pastures are greener.
When money is tight, you won't have to worry so fuck off.

  16. I haven't developed anything. Where's my $15 mil?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Can we get this over with and just. Put Terry Riley in Jail.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The 15 million should come from the LAW Department budget

    ReplyDelete
  19. Why isn't Doc Worley in jail?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Who does this settlement go to?

    ReplyDelete
  21. How does Beauford still have a job?

    ReplyDelete
  22. hey it is the fire dept that keeps getting all the money in raises. as far as the pd the patrolman and so forth yea they should be equal to the fire dept employees not the officers from major or up there more then enough racism in pd just ask the gang of 8 members right chief. then they act like they really care for there fellow officers which is a bunch of crap unless you are black. and of course the council doesnt have the balls to stand up to the fire dept so the city employees that are on the lower end of the pay gets laided off been there

    ReplyDelete
  23. Doc Worley and Terry Riley should both be spending some time in the pokey.
