DEVELOPING . . .

dig deep into the charter on this one Tony.
ReplyDeleteAfter what Cm. Sharp said about the mansion-owners on Ward Parkway and the latte drinkers in Brookside, I can understand why they would want someone else on the council.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't think Sharp has more than a handful of followers even in his Hickman Mills stomping grounds. Most of his "supporters" are just afraid what would happen if they oppose him. Now that Sharp has lost big time and been slapped down by the mayor, the knives are coming out.
John Sharp is the man!
ReplyDeleteJohn Sharp is the coolest guy I know.
ReplyDeleteHe can beat them. But it ain't gonna be easy.
ReplyDelete10:08: How many guys do you know?
ReplyDeleteLook for Sharp to rally the troops again. I don't know if it will help in this case.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see Sharp I really have to wonder whether the man is stil alive. He has a dead look about him. And I mean that. He looks like he has passed away.
ReplyDeleteRecall effort on John Sharp will make him the next Mayor.
ReplyDeleteJohn Sharp would not run for Mayor because everyone except his Hickman Mills cronies can not stand the sight of him. They probably can not recall him but he is most lame duck councilperson ever.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't people like Sharp, Clinto Adams, Gwen Grant, Al Brooks, and the rest of the self-important duds who screw up KCMO on a regular basis, take a long bus trip somewhere, say to Chile.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that you never see this kind of self-serving crap constantly the center of attention like it is in KCMO. No wonder the place is such a joke!
Recall? WTF, every time someone doesn't like what happens its recall time. The last one of these you published was on "Recall on Jermaine Reed!!!" (My exclamation points). Now it's, "Recall of John Sharp!!!" Yawn, yawn...what's that? The sky is falling? Yeah, sure.
ReplyDeleteJohn Sharp is kickass.
ReplyDeleteJohn Sharp is unbeatable.
ReplyDeleteThe recall of John Sharp would be the best thing to happen to the 6th District in years.
ReplyDeletegive me break shark one biggest dbag in the council. he doesnt care about the taxplay just to line own pockets.
ReplyDelete(1:48) Another proud graduate of the Alonzo Washington school of writin.
ReplyDeleteIf Sharp start selling those free tickets to Sprint Center events again, then sumptins up.
ReplyDeleteJohn Sharp is the only guy I know who can screw his district in two terms as councilman, DECIMATE MAST, then get elected to council again...twice! His record may be as spotty as his face but the guy is made of Teflon.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing to happen to the 6th is the addition of Brookside, Waldo, etc. Raised the IQ of the district. Prove us wrong, 6th district. Recall the ugly old grumpy bastard.
Sharp is a paranoid megalomaniac. A recall effort would prove to him that they really ARE all against him.
ReplyDeleteEven if Sharp stays, he's going to have a hard time working with the Council who clearly want to stand behind the Mayor.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't John just have his opinion? Everyone knew he'd get worked up...he's been been getting fired up for years. What did people expect? Overall he has been a good legislator that's been stashed out south while the north and DT have gotten most of the attention.
ReplyDeleteGood legislator? He got you a TIF or something?
ReplyDelete5:26 are you high? Sharp is a lousy legislator who sells his vote to the highest bidder. He hasn't been "stashed" anywhere. He chooses to live in the sixth district which is probably the only way he gets elected. After the way he destroyed MAST, he's lucky to get elected dog catcher let alone councilman. The reason DT (you can't say this about the north) gets attention is because of strong representation. Sharp is weak. That's why the sixth district loses. They elect losers like Sharp.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people in Hickman Mills voted for him for council four years ago because they didn't want him running for school board any more.
ReplyDeleteHe's probably less dangerous on school board than council. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteSharp is only in it for himself. His campaign slogan, "a strong voice for us", is an ironic joke.
ReplyDeleteZero basis for a recall.
ReplyDeleteAs a life-long south Kansas City resident, I know that Sharp is a horrible snake and scumbag. So of course he will survive any attempt at a recall.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Sharp is too smart to get recalled. In fact, the people who try will totally get jammed up politically when they show their face.
ReplyDelete9:12, we can always dream, can't we? A day without John Sharp is like a day with warm sunshine.
ReplyDelete"his record is as spotty as his face". Bahahahahahaha
