Leanne Crow And Kansas City X-Mas Spirit!!!

I was thinking about Leanne Crow and was reminded that Kansas City makes a very big deal out of X-mas time.

The Plaza Lights and the inevitable fender bender with somebody who isn't watching the street . . .

The Mayor's X-mas tree and luxury of all that you can't afford at Crown Center . . .

Driving through nicer neighborhoods that string up lights as substitute for voting or any other real interaction that would qualify as community building . . .

These are just a few local holiday traditions that don't involve getting liquored up and making some horrible mistake that will last into the new year. 

Sadly, I've yet to really get into the X-mas spirit and tonight that changes . . . Or at the very least it's time to string a few lights up in this basement so that all of these leftover takeout boxes can glow with holiday cheer AND duck sauce. Ew.

So this is a bit of an early morning tribute as well . . .
