When we talk about local priorities, please realize . . .
DESPITE A FEW SLEEPING WORKERS, KANSAS CITY WATER INFRASTRUCTURE FAIL NEVER TAKES A VACATION!!!
The latest example . . .
About 30 houses near the intersection of Northeast Hill Haven Road and Northeast Russell Road have been without water since Christmas Eve, city officials said.
In a recent meeting, a rather smart board member said on record . . . "While they talk about fixing or improving infrastructure South of the River. Few people realize that in the Northland we're still trying to create infrastructure."
Considering population growth in the Northland . . . Look for the fight over increasingly scarce resources to YET ANOTHER topic the divides Kansas City when it comes to Water Infrastructure FAIL.
Where is the Funk when you need him? We sorta miss you, Big Guy :) Hopefully Washington life is treating you and Little Missy well.
ReplyDeletefunk kicked the dust from this town off of his heels months ago. A good move.
ReplyDeleteIsn't even really cold yet.
ReplyDeleteAnother reason for a private water company driven by the need for investor profits. God hating Democrats are behind this failure and there is no escaping that fact.
ReplyDelete7:30 am, he'll probably come back for the sale of his house on the courthouse steps.
ReplyDeleteWhat does the Water Dept have in common with Shoe Source?? answer: 500 loafers!
ReplyDeleteI don't see how this is the fault of the employees. For all we know, the water department won't pay out OT, or won't staff or something? Maybe they do. I don't know. But the fact is you can't deal with this antiquated water system that has been deferred maintained to death while we spent tens of millions so developers could get richer.
ReplyDeleteIt's hardly the fault of the workers that the city leaders failed in their responsibility to do the job.
Anon 730AM... How is life renting the house of the Gruesome Twosome?
ReplyDeleteThere was also a major water main break in the 63rd & Oak neighborhood of Brookside. It happened Friday 12/23. Our daughter, who lives in the area, said the orange cones were out, and there were several workers standing around and looking at the leak on Christmas Eve. They did not have water. They left town, and when they returned on Monday, it was fixed.
ReplyDeleteThank God somebody fixes something in this dump.
