Apparently, they got away with $500 bucks . . .

ReplyDeleteThe business still has to pay the employees, for the food, and the electric bill. It all adds up. And crimes like this is why businesses are leaving the KC area.

Kansas City is losing all kind of business due to a crime, poor city services, and a bad economy. People are leaving the City and moving to areas that are safer.
ReplyDeleteHey, that's just down the street from Ruskin High School where Louie Wright graduated back in the day. The robbers are simply following the typical neighborhood career path of taking money from good people. Today it's Church's that got hit, but tomorrow it could be done with a promising career in local politics!
ReplyDeleteI just drove through there last week for the first time in 2 years. The real crooks who victimized that area work at City Hall. From leaving the big rock pile at Bannister Mall to driving out businesses left and right, they have inspired the conditions that lead to desperate robberies like this one. You can also place blame on the YMCA of Greater KC who pulled out of their facility on Red Bridge a few years back...helping to increase the spiral of despair. There's a lot of blame to pass around for this. Lots of it.
Kansas City is dying form the inside out. People and businesses are leaving.

The black community does get upset about crime. Haven't you seen the bi weekly prayer meetings and walks for peace usually led by community savior Alvin Brooks? They are definitely working...
