FREEDOM INC. IS CURRENTLY FACING AN AUDIT BY THE MISSOURI ETHICS COMMISSION!!!
I wouldn't go so far to call it an "investigation" but there is certainly some real scrutiny by the Missouri Ethics Commission regarding the spending of the Political Action Committee.
Remember that the group has previously run into trouble documenting their spending for quite some time and this latest audit seems to be a result of more stringent rules for PACs thanks to new Missouri ethics regulations.
This afternoon I confirmed the audit with A TRUSTED TKC SOURCE that had a bit of insight regarding what the inquiry was attempting to discover . . .
Without question, THE SOURCE NOTED THAT THERE'S MOST LIKELY A BIT OF POLITICAL MOTIVATION for this latest search for information.
"It sounds like a State Rep. on a fishing expedition," The Source noted. "Under these new rules we've seen the power of PACs wane and THIS is in line with that effort."
Also . . .
"Let's not forget that former Councilman Terry Riley stands to benefit if the current leadership of Freedom Inc. should somehow be replaced or embarrassed."
Councilman Riley wasn't available for comment at the time of this posting but it stands to reason that his name would arise in any discussion of Eastside political leadership.
Look for smarter people to than TKC to expound on this topic . . . Meanwhile, it's interesting to see political power continue to shift on Kansas City's Eastside.

ReplyDeleteWith very few exceptions, what passes for leadership in the black community are the same old deadbeats that have been making very good livings off the taxpayers, whitey, and their neighbors for decades, all the while doing absolutely nothing to improve or even save their own neighborhoods.
Way past time to move on and get these self-serving snouts out of the trough.

I am sure Rev Tindall and Bland got the right answers. Let's ask 'em. maybe Mike Sanders has spent too much political capital on these two and then lost everybody else?
