  8. 6:18 - You are a typical naysayer. You sit in the safety of your home, behind your computer keyboard, and you throw darts at those who do a job you lack the intestinal fortitude to do yourself. The new Police Chief's quote was that his plan for surpressing homicides within certain hot spots was working so far. At that point, there had been only one homicide, and it was not in the hot spots. At this point we're at 89 homicides this year, compared to 91 at this time in 2010, 95 at this time in 2009, and 111 in 2008. While being down only two in comparison to last year is only a slight improvement, I'm willing to give him a little more time, since he just got sworn in to office and his plan has only been in place for two weeks. You might cut him a little slack and give him some more time to prove his metal.

More excuses for a poor performance the has LASTED for YEARS. Just more excuses rather than results. BUT you want more pay. People like you make me sick.

  12. 8:07 - "More excuses for a poor performance the has LASTED for YEARS." Great sentence structure. At least 6:42 can spell.

Also, as 6:42 pointed out, the new chief hasn't been in office but for two weeks. Hard to blame the new guy for the old guy's failures and short comings. Give the new guy a chance to turn the ship around.

I'm not sure what the police wanting pay raises has to do with it. That is other than the fact that you firemen got pay raises and they didn't. I can't say I blame them for being upset about that. Both groups are public safety officers. So, as an outsider, it seems reasonable that both groups would be similarly compensated.

  13. Hard to blame the new guy for the old guy's failures and short comings. Give the new guy a chance to turn the ship around. LOL That's what Corwin promised.

Have you got something else to offer but more empty words? How about results instead of cheap talk?

"Hard to blame the new guy for the old guy's failures and short comings."

Hate to tell your this novice. But the old guy was once the new guy making the same old promises. Not much has changed. The words and the promises are the same just the names and faces have changed. Next time come up with a better excuse for poor performance. And not just a bunch of slogans and buzz words. We have already seen acronyms are bullshit smoke and mirrors.

Once bitten twice shy novice boy.

Both groups are public safety officers.

Public safety?????? You mean public servants?

    Or unions blackmailing the taxpayer.

Whats the differences between the Italian black hand in the 1920's selling fire insurance and unions of 2011.

    Nothing.

  16. The police dont have a union. The fire dept does. Not only that, they had a fireman married to a council woman who approved their raises. Talk about corrupt.

The police officers of KCPD are union members represented by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #99.

    Uneducated dipshit.
