A CRITICAL SUNDAY RALLY FOR OCCUPY KANSAS CITY COULD MAKE OR BREAK THE PERCEPTION OF THEIR LOCAL EFFORTS!!!

Most local media watchers agree . . . The upcoming march is critical for Occupy KC to demonstrate how much support they really have . . . I think any turnout would be nice and worth noting but there's no question that Kansas City lags behind other major metropolitan areas in their support of this movement . . . Also, it's kind of silly to protest City Hall on a Sunday when the only people who "occupy" the building are janitorial staff, maintenance workers and just a handful of dedicated staff getting stuff done on their break.

Also important to note .  ..

AS OF NOW OCCUPY HAS FAILED TO NOTE ANY PARTICULAR OR SPECIFIC REASON WHY THEY'RE PROTESTING CITY HALL IN KANSAS CITY!!!

Also . . .

It's kind of ironic that a Union backed protest is marching on City Hall . . . Where Unions and their political action committees ALREADY reign supreme.

Still, TKC is basically supportive of some of the core principles of this movement . . . However there is a widespread PERCEPTION that the local "OCCUPY" manifestation is rather conflicted, bemusing, confused, without direction and disorganized . . . Like all things Kansas City. And we all know that PERCEPTION IS REALITY!!!

DEVELOPING . . .

TKC QUICK SUNDAY BREAKING NEWS SPECIAL!!! OCCUPY KC SUNDAY PROTEST WAS SORT OF A BUST BUT WE'LL TALK MORE ABOUT THAT LATER!!!

  1. The cold will end the movement. These time wasters don't have any local support.

  2. Freaks and slackers.

  3. They could get a bigger crowd because there's no Chiefs game.

    Occupy KC vs. KCPD?

    I'd pay to see that!

  4. "Preception if Reality" - Well, my preception of the Occupy movement is that they are a bunch of bums that want something for nothing. Note to all Occupiers: Instead of going to your next interview looking like Shaggy from Scooby Doo, try taking a shower, shaving, and wearing a suit. Maybe then you'll actually get hired and you can quit living off the taxpayers while residing in your mother's basement!

  7. mark my words bitch10/29/11, 5:17 PM

what core principals is it that you agree with Tony?
we have a bunch of slackers who think they should recieve n education for free, and thats after agreeing to the terms and conditions of the loan. I hear complaints about wall street and corporate america, sent out via twitter on smart phones and laptops made by corporate america, across an internet connection provided by corporate america. If the evil corporations took their toys and went to another country, these patchouli oil scented douche nozzles wouldnt have a pot to piss in, because that is also made possible by corporate america.
Fuck em and feed em fish heads. They do NOT represent the 99 pct of americans they claim to represent. they represent the 3 or 4 percent of shit heels who live in the greatest country in the world yet bitch because everything isnt free.

  8. The City isn't responsible for what the banks did--Occupy Wall STreet is about banks, and the huge and growing gap between rich and poor. It's a class war, and the rich are winning. Welcome to the new Gilded Age.

  9. Obama/Acorn can amplify a redistribution theme all they want. The independents won't but the BS these skanks spew. Just as another said 3-4% tops.

  10. Occupy's message is simple enough even for those who come here and repeat Rush Limbaugh talking points to understand.

The vast majority of people should receive a bigger share of the wealth created by THEIR OWN HARD WORK.

Instead, we got a bunch of working-stiff morons who willfully and ignorantly vote against their own economic interests as more and more wealth is concentrated in fewer and fewer hands. And even taken out of their own hands by the very people they continue to support.

  11. IS the only building you can see from your basement City Hall? What makes you think city hall has anything to do with it?

They're rallying at a downtown PARK, and then marching to the northeast and back. And having speakers. I don't think city hall has been mentioned in any meeting other than to suggest its easy to find the park from there.

(its PERCEPTION IS REALITY, not PREception if Reality. Those hippies can spell better than you storebought boys, fer sure!

  12. Maybe this would be a good time to break out the WASTE OF MONEY MOUNTED UNIT????????

  13. Stay focused and stay at it. The big picture is saying "yes there is injustice and people everywhere experience it." Not everyone can get to the marches or camp out. We appreciate those who do. KEEP AT IT! Stay focused. The change will take time.

Also I think a better target than KC city hall is the Fed Reserve. Even the sheeple anonymous naysayers above know it is a problem.

  14. I think it will be a mild winter and we can love hippie bitches on season long. The tent city is the best spot for some off the wall late night fuck action. And you know it's raw.

That's why we love it. Fuck the man and a tasty and consensual cream pie for the ladies of Occupy KC.

  15. stay down in your basement you punks

  16. I'm betting the first time the temp drops below 30, most of the hippies will head back to mom's basement!

  17. Radioman KC - "its PERCEPTION IS REALITY, not PREception if Reality. Those hippies can spell better than you storebought boys, fer sure!" - Next time I will set down my glass of Bowmore 1964 and type with both hands. Perhaps then you won't have to play the role of spelling police. By the way, if you've never had Bowmore, let me know. I'll send you a bottle, paid for of course with money made off the backs of the of working-stiff morons. I've found good scotch tastes better when it is paid for with the hard earned dollars of others. Fer sure! :)~

  18. Wherr the fuck are Doug MacArthur and George Patton when you need them? They took care of the bonus marchers. We need some soldiers to beat the fuck out of these commies before things get out of hand.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Our soldiers are still getting the shit kicked out of them in the sandbox, or haven't you heard.
You'd get full wood at the sight of them beating down some 90 pound hippie girl protester though, wouldn't ya?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Have you people not heard of camping festivals? Hippies survive those and can survive a protest. Btw, it's not just hippies. It's the working class that is sick of their tax dollars going to bail out large corporations that already make billions of dollars and year that they don't even pay taxes on. Why those of us that are barely scrapping by get half of our paychecks taken away. Get your head out of capitalist America's ass and found out the truth. This movement has a lot more people backing it than you think. If you'd like to live it a country where police are allowed to beat citizens for no reason and control the media move to fucking China. America is suppose to be about freedom yet they just keep taking our rights away. Get off your fucking asses and do something before it's to late. None of you idiots think it ironic that we send our military to protect people in protest against their own government but yet at home they sanction police brutality for protest!?!

  21. City Hall is closed on sunday, as are all gubmint offices. I fail to see the impact of protesting in front of a building that holds a half dozen janitors. It's kind of like wiping your ass before you shit. Doesn't make much sense.

  23. I can't denigrate the people who are protesting whether they're hippies or yippies. What I can say is that "Occupy", nationwide, has been in the planning for months by the unions and by Moveon.org. Van Jones came out of hiding over at Center For American progress and teamed up with MoveOn. Van Jones used to be Obama's green energy czar until he left the WH in 2009. Van was hand picked by Valerie Jarrett for his rabble rousing skills in the SF Bay area. What I find fault with here is what they are protesting. The government gave the money to Wall St, the banks and corporations so they should be protesting the government. How blind can they be when it comes to who the bad guy is. Since Van Jones was hand picked by the WH and comes highly recommended by Valerie Jarrett I believe that the root of "Occupy" is at the WH. Obama has embraced the movement and he wants the chaos to aid him in getting his agenda through the Congress - specificall his jobs bill.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Uh huh. The guy calling for more jobs at decent living wages for more people is the "bad guy."

And the Occupy movement is nothing more than a well-organized ruse to get more jobs at decent living wages for more people.

    Oh the horror.

  25. ROFLMAO when the professor claimed the government could create jobs. That's me, far left, green stocking hat.
