"Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker has fired two employees she suspended late last month"
The house cleaning effort is somewhat impressive . . . Keeping the move on the backpages of The Star and pretty much out of the media even more so.
Do we know who the assistant prosecutors are and why they were fired? This woman has been handed this important job without a vote of the people and has been in this 'appointed' office for a few weeks. In this short tenure, she abruptly fires two career prosecutors? Shouldn't there be an open debate about her decision and whether it was a good or bad one? Maybe it was deserved or not, but why so silent about this?
