A settlement in a recent discrimination lawsuit cost Kansas City more than A MILLION BUCKS!!!
In a recent interview it was proclaimed "The guy that's accountable is me," Schulte said
I'm not sure if the comment is refreshing or just kinda silly knowing that the statement will simply provoke ire now that it's doubtful he'll be fired after getting a new contract. Either way . . . It seems that the City Manager isn't as great as so many of his fans have claimed and BY HIS OWN ADMISSION he starts of his tenure on a low note that's even worse than his predecessor Wayne Cauthen.
Worse???
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding?
Not even close!
Wayne was bad but he never got a judgment against him that was this huge.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when you lay people off.
ReplyDeleteso is he resigning.
ReplyDeleteIn Japan when you disgrace your job you kill youself.
Mea Culpa.....or whatever. In any case, this guy's a fucking loser and KC would be MUCH better off without him...Get a REAL City Manager..
ReplyDeleteThank God we got the the E-Tax passed again.
ReplyDeleteWe're saved!
Troy fades the heat for a Law/HR Department F-up. How those who botched this case walk around with their heads up in CH is reflective of a huge lack of character.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I call media savvy. Nobody is in town and by next week, this will be dead news.
ReplyDeleteFire 4% pay increses, Labor and mangement hourly staff receive a 2% pay increase and exempt salaried staff, the ones hit the hardest by 2 City layoffs, get nothing! As one who gets nothing and is asked to do a lot, I know who won't be getting my vote!
ReplyDeleteHey dumbasses, Troy was under the same orders as all department heads under Cauthen; promote and hire minorities, whites are expendable. This was not Troy's idea.
ReplyDeleteCity Hall just stinks.
ReplyDeleteThe raises aren't fair. This makes Union's look bad. Think about it, they are now the bullies via their political control. The same people who were protected from lay-offs (Some of you lazy bastards deserve to lose your jobs) are now getting raises and the cream of the crop, which may not be saying much given the crop, are getting nothing. The city is making a mistake. The people who were promotable in the first place are being overlooked and should just go elsewhere and see how they run the place without people with half a brain. Scratch that, people (Council) are running it with half a brain. I am not a city employee. I am a business owner and I can tell you this is not the path to success. In these times you either give everyone a raise or you only give merit raises to send a message but you sure don't just exclude your leadership to make a bunch of thugs feel better about themselves.
ReplyDeletehey fire dept were the prima donnas who always got there raise which was also twice the size of local 500. and as far as the exemp employees they are over paided any how just like the fire dept. 80,000 a year job not bad for a city employee whos allow to sleep on the job and drive those fuel eating trucks to price choppers and hy vee to do there grocery shopping. way to go sly putting the fire dept in your office former city employee whos barely making it on my pension
