TKC TIPSTERS CONFIRMED: Say Goodbye To Kansas City Public Works Director Stan Harris

Public Works Director Stan Harris sent a letter this week to Mayor Sly James and city council members announcing his retirement from the city after more than 26 years.

REMEMBER that earlier this month TKC TIPSTERS noted that Harris was soon to hit the road as part of an effort by the City Manager to clean house.

  4. 1:04 doth protest too much. Don't worry Troy. It'll be okay.

  5. Harris was a do-nothing.

Too bad; but he really did have to go.

  6. Tom Coyle, David Parks and Gary O'Bannon should be next....

  7. Troy and picked Dave Parks so tht's not gonna happen. Coyle and O'Bannon pre dated him so who knows. Troy promoted his cronies and not the best qualified just like all new City Managers do and when the next one comes along they promoted their loyal surfs.

Troy should have been fired over the lawsuit. His made the Funkhouser one look pale (no pun) and yet the council just looked the other way. What does that say about them? They knew it was coming and promoted him before it got out so they could promote him.

As for Mayor Pro Tem- I was at a meeting and have come to the conclusion that she talks alot and says nothing. Not the brightest bulb and for a nail tech she has ugly feet. But then, I am a foot guy.

  8. GREGG ROKOS should be next to go out of that department...he exemplifies all the worst stereotypes bureaucrats have to deal with: lazy, opposed to new ideas, and worth nothing.

  9. TKC and 9:10 are right on. 6:34 is totally wrong. Sounds like an old Cauthen supporter. Probably Kay.
