We checked the KCPD website and noticed that it's not there . . . Here's an important question from and AWESOME TKC TIPSTER who many or many not look as good as Bar Refaeli wearing specs and looking all smart . . .
"The KCPD has not yet released its 2010 annual report. I am puzzled by this--the 2008 report was issued in Feb. 2009 and the 2009 report was issued in April 2010--so what is taking so long? I realize that there may be a legitimate reason for this delay, but I still hope that the report comes out ASAP--with the city's continuing quite serious crime problems we need the report."
To be fair, we should note that the KCPD does an EXCELLENT job reporting their work to the public through traditional channels and social media . . . Chief Corwin has a MUST READ BLOG that I hope that the new Police Chief will keep going . . . And the Daily Homicide Analysis is the most important .pdf file in Kansas City.
Still, looking at last year's report just might provide clues about how Kansas City can work to lower the murder rate as we move past the midway point of the year and into the deadly month of August.

ReplyDeleteScrew the annual report. Everyone knows the KCPD is a failure. Kind of like Enron issuing an annual report the year after bankruptcy. Save the tens of thousands of dollars they spend on it and do something productive.
