TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! NORTHEAST RESIDENTS WONDER WHERE KC COUNCIL DUDE SCOTT WAGNER WAS IN THE SIRAGUSA DISCOUNT SMOKES LIQUOR LICENSE HOT MESS!!!
The most important part of having a successful political career is to avoid potential pitfalls and landmines. Unfortunately, that strategy doesn't really help out voters or residents. In fact, most residents lament the fact that the Kansas City Council has taken more bold and progressive action when it comes to urban chicken farming rather than pursuing far more pressing issues like local violence and infrastructure. Unfortunately, dealing with really controversial topics isn't a good way to get reelected.
To wit . . .
MORE THAN A FEW KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS ARE CALLING OUT KANSAS CITY COUNCIL DUDE SCOTT WAGNER FOR COMPLETELY DODGING THE DISCOUNT SMOKES LIQUOR LICENSE EXCEPTION ISSUE!!!
The issue was covered expertly by The Northeast News and Council people were taken to task for their views on the subject. Council Dude Jermaine Reed was torn between supporting small biz and respecting the will of the surrounding community. Ultimately, Community and neighborhood concerns won out for the young politico. Council Lady Melba Curls also discussed the project at great lengths. At the State level, District 40 State Rep. John Rizzo supported surrounding neighbors and stood against the liquor license exception.
Sadly, in all of this Council Dude Wagner stayed as quiet as a Church mouse and completely avoided an important discussion that impacted his district.
Currently, the liquor license exception is dead in the water and word is that the Siragusas have withdrawn their request . . . No thanks to Councilman Scott Wagner who missed an important opportunity to stand up for neighborhood interests rather than just stay quiet and worry about nothing but his own career like the rest of the current City Council members.
He was taking a smoke break.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise! Wagner is a snake!
ReplyDeleteWagner has moved out of Northeast both body and spirit. He was always a self seeker who used the heavy democratic base to gain a political foothold. No surprize here . A real loser.
ReplyDeleteHe was surfing adult web sites on company time.
ReplyDeleteScott Wagner was working on an actual public policy proposal which will create a Community Investment District in the northesast like the one downtown which generates additional tax dollars to clean up and improve the neighborhood. Instead of doing special deals for various insiders, this is the kind of thing the rest of the council would be much better off doing. The city would be a whole lot better off too!
ReplyDeleteTotal and complete bull. Scott was actively involved in opposing the exception and attended neighborhood meetings to encourage residents to appear at the meeting tomorrow in opposition. God forbid journalism should actually occur on this blog.
ReplyDeleteScott Wagner is blamed for not being present during this debate when he is often in Northeast and John Rizzo is credited by Tony for being deeply involved when he is nowhere to be found in Northeast.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it ironic?
Hyperblogal was sitting right next to me when Scott Wagner gave detailed information regarding this matter to a room of about 30 people who live in the neighborhood, not to mention his OFFICE is at Northeast News, so he talks to the editor and publisher nearly every day.
ReplyDeleteHere's an excerpt from the Indian Mound Neighborhood Association Meeting Minutes on Monday, July 18:
"[Scott Wagner states] The public meeting [regarding this liquor license exception] will be at City Hall, 26th floor, Wednesday, July 27th at 10:30."
Wait, that's tomorrow! I guess anyone who is so concerned about what Scott ISN'T doing should be at that meeting and report back to us.
Bottom line, most politicians worried about their careers head straight to the news cameras, where as Scott addressed it with the neighbors, and the Public Safety Committee.
ReplyDeleteGet off Wagner's back. He's a good guy and a strong councilman.
ReplyDeleteThe Discount Smokes people must have hired Kim George (Carlos) to represent their interests, which means Scott can no longer say anything because Kim owns him.
ReplyDelete713pm is Wagner. He takes everything WAAAAY too personally. And he smokes.
ReplyDeleteStadler - you really aren't doing Hyper any favors by making it known he has had to associate with you and your Bieber haircut. Dork. Bieber looking dork.
ReplyDeleteWagner can't work on a tax free zone it's governed by the State. What a loser . He lived blocks from the liquor store he knows the damage it would have done and he stayed silent . Sorry no excuse.he lost my vote.
ReplyDeleteWhere does Wagner live oh yes it's North, so we don't need him to visit just weigh in on issues like this one.
ReplyDeleteWhen is the mayor going to speak about the violence?
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting. The only guy with an axe to grind is Royster. Is Tony willing to trust anything he says considering all that has been written in this blog?
ReplyDeleteHe was hiking the Appalachian Trail and couldn't be reached.
ReplyDeleteByron, Sly is against violence...I think.
ReplyDelete...now go away.
