TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! "LA MALINCHE" MARY SANCHEZ SCUTTLES A TKC TV APPEARANCE WITH A TEMPER TANTRUM!!!

It's Friday, so let's start the weekend with a little bit of history.

According to the world's most accurate encyclopedia . . .

"La Malinche was a Nahua woman from the Mexican Gulf Coast, who played a role in the Spanish conquest of Mexico, acting as interpreter, adviser, lover and intermediary for Hernán Cortés. She was one of twenty slaves given to Cortés by the natives of Tabasco in 1519. Later she became a mistress to Cortés and gave birth to his first son, Martín, who is considered one of the first Mestizos (people of mixed European and indigenous American ancestry).

"The historical figure has been intermixed with Aztec legends . . . Her reputation has been altered over the years according to changing social and political perspectives, especially after the Mexican Revolution, when she was portrayed in dramas, novels, and paintings as an evil or scheming temptress. In Mexico today, La Malinche remains iconically potent. She is understood in various and often conflicting aspects, as the embodiment of treachery, the quintessential victim, or simply as symbolic mother of the new Mexican people. Her sexual relationship to Cortés gave rise to the pejorative term La Chingada ("the fucked one")."

Because we live in a historical context, the legend and reality of La Malinche come to mind given a recent TKC behind the scenes and by proxy slapfight with Mary Sanchez.



The gist of it:

This morning TKC was slated for an appearance on KCPT's Week In Review but, with the exception of Dave Helling, the cast of newsies reportedly didn't want to share the set with TKC.

Thanks to Helling for being a stand-up dude, it has actually been very fun to debate him about dead tree media the few times we have been invited to public forums.

Also, I'm sorry but I really don't believe that Larry Seward from NBC Action News was gonna boycott TKC . . . Maybe . . . But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because I don't know him.

The Star's Steve Kraske was also slated to appear on the show . . . Given that Kraske has invited me on his KCUR program before and he's always cool when we run into each other . . . I'm kinda thinking the TKC boycott wasn't his idea either.

By the way . . . KCPT WIR Anchor Nick Haines was not only REALLY cool about inviting me on the show in the first place BUT ALSO did a very classy job letting me down easy. This post probably puts him out and that's lamentable but he didn't name any names other than to note that Helling didn't mind sitting on the same stage with TKC . .

So, with my brilliant powers of deduction . . .

MARY SANCHEZ I KNOW IT WAS YOU WHO OBJECTED TO EVEN SITTING ON THE STAGE WITH TKC AND LETTING A LATINO MEDIA DENIZEN GET EVEN A MOMENT OF RECOGNITION FOR WORKING MUCH HARDER THAN YOU!!!

This is a silly and stupid move by Sanchez for a lot of reasons, I'll (try to) make this quick . . .

I should note that while I'm now dedicated to destroying the career of Mary Sanchez, I want to EMPHASIZE that I DO NOT wish Mary Sanchez any physical harm. I'm smarter than that and I know that old Mexican women nearly live forever.

Still . . .

THIS SHORTSIGHTED MOVE BY MARY SANCHEZ FORGETS THAT SHE'S THE STAR'S TOKEN LATINA AND EVENTUALLY SHE'S GOING TO HAVE TO COME BACK INTO THIS COMMUNITY, MY COMMUNITY THAT I'VE REPORTED ON FOR MORE THAN A DECADE!!!

Or maybe she didn't forget . . .

SELLOUT THAT "DIRTY" MARY SANCHEZ IS . . . IT'S CLEAR THAT THE STAR'S TOKEN WANTS TO BE THE ONLY "HISPANIC" IN KANSAS CITY'S SMALL MAINSTREAM MEDIA WORLD!!!

But even the simplest physics informs us that for every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction. Again this IS NOT a threat of any physical confrontation but . . .

MARY SANCHEZ SHOULDN'T SHOW HER FACE IN KANSAS CITY'S LATINO COMMUNITY ANY TIME SOON OR AT LEAST WHEN TKC IS AROUND BECAUSE SHE'S CLEARLY A TOKEN, VENDIDA SELLOUT AND I DON'T WANT TO SEE HER OVERCOME WITH SHAME!!!

Lucky for us all that Dirty Mary Sanchez only visits Kansas City's Latino Community once in awhile and only on assignment . . . Kansas City's mainstream media token is much more comfortable at singalongs with Screenland Founder Butch Rigby than anywhere around KCK, Northeast Or The Westside.

SO, MARY SANCHEZ, YOU'RE TAKING THE BLAME FOR THIS TV HOT MESS . . . WHILE IT'S NOT TOO MUCH OF A DISAPPOINTMENT, THE ONLY BIG DEAL IS THAT I WAS SOLD OUT BY A LATINA WHO ONLY WANTS THE SPOTLIGHT FOR HERSELF!!!

Somehow, I think I'll survive this minor setback that saves me from having to take a shower today. And this informative and cheeky rant should make tonight's episode of WIR much more interesting.

For the record: This post really isn't for white people or anybody else but Mary Sanchez who should be ashamed of herself because she can't take a joke AND she's a vindictive drama queen who takes her small market media career far too seriously. I've been in MANY media slap fights over the course of this blog but in the end I've always tried to help my fellow Latinos because there simply is not enough media representation for such a rapidly growing population.

For a long time I've known that TKC TIPSTERS BREAK MORE NEWS ON THIS BLOG IN ONE DAY THAN MARY SANCHEZ DOES IN A YEAR . . . But I've tried to take it in stride and realize that her position is simply a result of liberal, elitist tokenism. However, in this instance Mary Sanchez started a media and rhetorical slapfight that she's in no way prepared to finish . . . And just like La Malinche, I know Sanchez and her lame Dead Tree Media gig will inevitably end up in tears and transform into a character very much like La Llorona - A spooky part of the legend . . . In the end, her media temper tantrum aimed at thwarting TKC will make her inevitable downward career trajectory just a bit more well deserved . . . Ew, not that I'm into curses like some emo kid BUT media slapfights are fun and much more productive than TKC just calling up Sanchez and yelling "BEEEEATCH" into the phone then hanging up and giggling . . . Which, admittedly, would have taken less time and been just as fun.
