Speeding Lady Gets First KCPD E-Ticket

KCPD Chief Corwin's blog describes the very FIRST KANSAS CITY E-TICKET earned by a lady speeding on a local street. E-Tickets give drivers a "receipt-like" ticket which "eliminates triplicate-paper citations and automatically transfers citation information to Municipal Court. The whole system is scheduled to go live Aug. 29. When it does, violators should be able to pay their fines online within 24 hours of getting their citation."

    It's only been like 5 years since most major cities have had this. Duh. Why is KC always behind the curve? Maybe Google will fix that.
