KCMSD School Board School Part Deux!!!

THEY have changed the name of KCMSD "School Board School" to the rather clunky: KCMSD Education & Community Leadership School . . . Whatever it is . . . It's a partnership between School Board Prez Airick L. West's Kansas Citians United For Educational Achievement and a BUNCH of Community Partners including the School District.

To continue transforming the conversation, perception, and reality of the KCMSD requires a greater capacity of leadership at all levels—parents, students, community, and school board. Semester Two will tackle the following topics:

* VALUES: your values; shared values
* RELATIONSHIPS: building strategic relationships and partnerships
* POWER: redefining “power” and harnessing it for action

WHO: Anyone who lives, plays, works, or worships within the KCMSD (e.g., parents, students, neighbors, etc.)

WHY: To continue building the knowledge, skills, and leadership necessary to transform the KCMSD such that high levels of academic achievement are realized by all students.

WHEN & WHERE: Saturday, July 30th from 8:30am-2:00pm at Linwood United Church, 3151 Olive St, Kansas City, MO 64109
