I was honored that author and former report Joe Miller compared TKC to diarrhea in his last column before his retreat from Kansas City. But there are more important things to discuss besides Miller's whiny, white-liberal self-flagellation about a minor stint in local politics that he still can't seem to overcome.
Miller's story of Central Debate is actually quite important.
It WAS an award winning program that literally saved the lives and was cut from the budget despite public outcry.
While Miller plans to slink away to anther ivory tower . . . TKC RECENTLY REPORTED BREAKING NEWS REGARDING DEBATE OVER THE PROGRAM'S TERMINATION.
With so many promises of "progress" "hope and change" from every politico to take office as of late . . . It's noteworthy that the KCMSD is actually taking a step BACKWARD by scrapping one of their most important programs that led to so much student achievement.
