Mayor Sly & City Hall Silent On Homicide?!?!

So many people decry the "stop snitching" mythology of hip-hop music . . . Yet it seems that politicos in Kansas City proper are abiding by a remarkably similar "code of silence" when it comes to speaking out on local violence.

Yes, there was a nice snitching program that was recently launched that seems promising . . .

Sadly, local politicos are more interested in . . .

Urban Chickens

Google

Plaza Condos

Fundraising

Meanwhile, Kansas City continues to kill itself . . .

A great link from RDM: Where's the mayor at on crime?

I guess Diana Kander has not figured out a warm and fuzzy way for the Mayor to frame the issue of death in our streets and homes, yet?

  2. The Sly James Bully Brigade informed me that's its only been three months. They also asked for my suggestions.

My suggestion is to further empower men like Brandon Ellington.

  3. City Hall has been silent on crime for years. This whole fucking city is afraid of a few loud mouth black ministers on the East side.

  4. Byron, you and several others have question why Sly James, has over looked Brandon Ellington. Only thought that comes to my mind is, Ellington won't will actually do something for the average citizan.

  6. Sly the sell out Mayor, maybe a crime fundraiser will get his attention.

  7. City Hall won't stop the killing due to the fact that it will be easier to take their land.

  8. Let's hold a candlelight vigil hoping to hear from the Mayor.
We still have a Mayor in Kansas City, Right?

  24. Don't y'all worry... Jermaine "Sweat Tea" Reed has been studying how to reduce crime since he was just a pre-teen punk.

He learned it on the lap of the great Al "Jolson" Brooks.

I suspect that only about 350people will be murdered in his district by the end of his first term.

  27. I feel like the police have givin up. My moms house was robbed a few years ago and a neighbor chased him. He abandoned his car and ran after a while, leaving his drivers licence in the car. The police never followed up. That was about as open and shut as you can get, they just didn't care.
