  1. It appears the going rate to buy jobs in KCMO is $25,000 to $30,000 per job. 6 million divided by 250 jobs. Assuming they stay five years that's about $5,000 per job per year. Most of those jobs won't generate that much in state and local taxes, even assuming all the employees live in KS. This is what passes for "economic development" in KCMO.
