The Star: "Kansas City's Fraternal Order of Police issued a letter this week accusing members of the Board of Police Commissioners of going "behind our backs" on issues important to police employees" . . . Mainly, the ongoing health insurance fight AND Local Control.

Not premature. I heard sly James say the dept will be under city control very soon. That came from his own mouth when he was doing a meet and greet asking politically loaded questions. That got is a sneak and slime ball. He don't give two shit about this town. He can't run a city let alone a police dept. Fucking city is sneaking behind everyone's back.
ReplyDeleteI thought we had a pretty good working relationship,” she said. “If they were this unhappy, I would have thought they would have come talk to us.”
ReplyDeleteThey thought you would not go behind their back to you stupid cunt but you did. And they are talking to you . They sent a letter so there's proof this going on . If they came and "talked" to you then you slimmey Fuck tards would just say it never happened. The BOP is a joke just like Slyme James .
How about quit worrying about your retirement, your pay checks and your raises and get out there and fight some crime? Get those Murders solved for a change.
ReplyDeleteHere's an idea how about getting the "2010" annual report done. You know get some work done.
ReplyDeleteQuit worrying about my pay, retirement and raises and solve some crime? Obviously you have no clue what we do for a living. We continually put our lives on the line only to have some knucklehead like you can come along later and make a comment and pretend they have an inkling of what we do. This city can't run its school district and you would give them control of a police dept? Go to your local KCPD station and tell them you want to do a ride a long in center, east or metro during the pm's hours. Then come back and talk. Dumbass!
ReplyDelete7/30/11 6:14 PM
ReplyDeleteDumbass? I work at KCPD. I see what goes on.
I see Cops at Headquarters start out the Day reading the KC STAR for an Hour. Then sit around and Chit Chat for another. I see cops surf the net for jokes, funny youtube videos. Some Cops have not made an arrest in YEARS! I hope the Police Board investigates that one. How about the double dipping leave the KCPD city job while on the clock for an off duty job?
How about all the scams like going to pick up my clean uniform then disappear for HOURS. Or the going to wash the partol car then disappear for Hours? NICE TRY Dumbass!
730 let me guess your some civilian who got denied the academy so now your just bitter. If you worked at the dept you would know district officers work their asses off. So until you know what ur talking about shut the Fuck up
ReplyDeleteLet me Guess? Guess! LOL.
ReplyDeleteWell that’s what you stupid KCPD Cops do. Otherwise the Homicides Clearance rate would not be a measly 45 percent. You Fat Boys couldn’t fight your way out of a wet paper bag. You’d have to get out of your patrol car to do that.
The FOP members are nothing but trolls! They complain that no one is held accountable, but then bitch when they receive discipline. They bitch about not being included in discussions about local control, but not local control itself. They want to represent the rank and file, but they don't know how to negotiate. They want to be a union and demand benefits from the city, but this letter is how they win friends and influence people. I don't know why anyone would give them an ounce of credibility.
ReplyDelete4:43/7:30--Although there's probably some truth to what 7:41 said about you, you can't judge district officers by what you see going on in headquarters. Everyone knows no one down there actually works the street anymore so why you are bitching about them not getting out there to fight crime is beyond me. If you wanna do something besides gripe behind a computer screen, I'm sure the police academy would love to have you for 6 months...that's assuming you could pass the background check required of officers.
ReplyDeleteAnd 4:43--yeah don't know if you've figured this out yet, but officers get paid the same whether they wanna do nothing but wait and only answer calls all night or get out there and bust their ass doing car stops. So let me ask you this, with no raises in 3 years, please provide valid reasoning for officers to go bust their ass and risk getting injured for no more money then the guys that do nothing? Because then if they're injured, they can't work offduty (which sadly offduty is almost a requirement in order to make ends meet for most officers). So while they're working 55 hour work weeks, you keep worrying about that homicide rate while doing nothing about it in your little cubicle.
ReplyDeletePS--for all you jackasses that are so worried about that 2010 KCPD annual report, try reading the quarterly reports instead. Basically the same thing. Apparently you've already missed all of last year's and two quarterly reports this year so far. Idiots.
That was for you, 5:09.
ReplyDeleteThat was for you, 5:09.
ReplyDelete8:07--Yet for being so "fat" the city sure wants the PD under their healthcare to improve their own shitty health rating. But you keep fightin the good fight from behind your computer screen. Lord knows we need more men & women like you. Seriously, pat yourself on the back. You deserve it.
ReplyDelete7/31/11 7:38 AM
ReplyDeleteIts called free speech.
8:00--Wow that's the best you've got to come back with?? You should also heed 7:38's advice and pat yourself on the back. Really. Thank goodness for people like you with the selfless courage to go out there every night and put your life on the line in an attempt to make the streets safer. Oh wait you dont do that. You bitch from behind a computer screen. I'm sure you'll come back with some lame retort about how the police dont make the streets safer either or free speech blah, blah, blah. But seriously, nut up or shut up. The police dept is always hiring. Yes, I know this means you'd have to leave the security of your mom's basement but if you'll reach down deep inside, you may find the courage it takes. But frankly I doubt it. So go ahead and make the "free speech" argument against the same people sworn to protect your rights.
ReplyDeleteJackass.
WOW "Jackass" typical of a cop when all else fails, resort to obscenities.
ReplyDelete9:41--"Its called free speech." But you keep fightin the good fight, brother. Without people like you, the rest of us would be lost. Thank you for your service. This is me patting you on the back. You deserve it.
ReplyDeleteThe hard working cops are at the CAN center. They have to work hard to protect those illegals. The even had to learn spanish, because some of those illegals don't speak english.
ReplyDelete7/30 @ 6:14pm read my post again. Why don't you let there supervisors worry about what they do right or wrong it's on them. It's good to know that you give 110% every day and that you never abuse the system. We obviously should hire you as an officer and you can show us how to be an excellent officer. Blah blah blah, I got it your perfect.
ReplyDelete"Why don't you let there supervisors worry about what they do right or wrong it's on them".......
ReplyDeleteYou mean the supervisors like the ones at the Capital Grille using Tax Dollars to wine and dine? You want people like that telling others about "right and wrong".... ????
11:47am--Unfortunately you know as well as I do that 6:14pm doesn't possess the selfless courage and willingness to serve the community that is required of. Officers. Sorry 6:14 but shaking your fist from behind a computer screen doesn't count as having the warrior mentality. No worries though, I'm sure the PD will be there to "assist" you through the academy and break-in process so that you can feel like you're not a failure.
ReplyDeleteSame for you, 12:56. No one is stopping you from joining up except for yourself, and maybe a background check.
7/31/11 1:14 PM
ReplyDeleteBeat you to it years ago; former Marine severed my country not just one city. Alpha 1/5
Well then Semper Fi, brother. But you of all people should know actions speak louder than words. If you're unhappy with the system then quit talking and do something about it.
ReplyDeleteEveryone--The PD is still accepting applications for chief. Here's your chance to change what your perceive to be a failing organization. If you don't apply nor make any effort to understand what police officers do, then all this preaching from behind a computer screen is senseless. If you don't intend on making a difference for you or your community, then do us a favor and shut your trap on here unless you have any valid, reasonable ideas for change.
Hey 6:14 PM -- the city doesn't have a school district! It's a separate entity run by the school board.
ReplyDeleteHey 3:09 - They stopped taking applications on July 25th.
ReplyDelete5:02--That's unfortunate. I suppose you can use that as your excuse then for inaction. (Hey unfair! They didn't give me long enough to get my sh#! together)
ReplyDelete7/31/11 3:09 PM
ReplyDelete"The PD is still accepting applications for chief. Here's your chance to change what your perceive to be a failing organization."
Right, I can just see the CLOSED Minded KCPD taking a civilian application for Chief of Police. They would not even consider a Einstein application. The way it is now you have to be BLACK to be considered, BEFORE being qualified.
"shut your trap" 3:09 PM
ReplyDeleteTake your own advice. LOL.
Question: How many KCPD COPS does it take to screw in a light bulb?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: One. He holds up the light bulb and expects the universe to revolve around him.
KCPD Mentality.
ReplyDeleteThinks that the rules are different for him For example, a parking space for handicapped people is really for handicapped people plus him because his time is so valuable that he can’t walk fifty additional feet. Or, the carpool lane is for cars with multiple people, hybrids, and her because she’s late for a meeting. Or Tax Payer Money is for wine and dining at the Capital Grille NOT crime fighting.
KCPD COP JOKE.
ReplyDeleteA policeman pulls a man over for speeding and asks him to get out of the car. After looking the man over he says, "Sir, I couldn't help but notice your eyes are bloodshot. Have you been drinking?"
The man gets really indignant and says, "Officer, I couldn't help but notice your eyes are glazed. Have you been eating doughnuts?"
Once again it's up to the supervisors to supervise those that went to the Capital Grill. I learned long ago that I can only affect what's around me everything else I can't allow to upset me or gets down. I'm not defending the dept it's not perfect but to believe that all our problems will end when the city takes over is wrong. You exchange one master for another. "The grass is not always greener on the other side". Right now we are insulated to a certain extent from the city.
ReplyDeleteBy the way right the school board but it's all under the city right. You know what I meant quit being a smartass.
It's sad but I've seen your type before. Been on a couple years and you you think you could do it better. Your cynical and bitter. Let it go or it will eat you up. Worry about yourself. Make sure your doing your job right that's all that matters. And FYI the civilians do get screwed on the pd. So take the test and become a cop or go somewhere else and better yourself. Quit blaming everyone else.
"Quit blaming everyone else" not blaming anyone JUST AN UNFAIR CLOSED MINDED SYSTEM. The Capital Grille is just exposing a corrupt system that is in-defensible.
ReplyDelete"Once again it's up to the supervisors to supervise those that went to the Capital Grill."
ReplyDeletePS those we're Majors and Deputy Chiefs. There "supervisor" is the Chief Of Police.
What a tangled web we weave. When first we practise to deceive!
7/31/11 9:02 PM
ReplyDelete"Quit blaming everyone else....."
I don't do that except when people pick up a paycheck for unrendered services. Like when a mechanic claims to fix your car but doesn't.
Lol. Ok forget what I said. Go ahead and be cynical and bitter. Good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteBy the way law enforcement can only do so much in a community, the community then has to decide that whatever is occurring ( like homicides) is something they want to change. Then we can do our jobs better it's about teamwork. My guess is you'll respond with a similar comment like the above previous comments.
Don't let it get you down it will eat you up and give you a bad attitude. Bye.
LOL OK forget it just keep making up excuses as to WHY you can't get the job done.
ReplyDeleteThat will sure go a LONG way in your career at KCPD. Team work means you have to gain the TRUST of the community. When you disable seat belt alarms ( which breaks State Law), cheat the Taxpayer by eating at the most expensive restaurants on the Plaza, have cops driving drunk and wreaking patrol cars, then don't expect TRUST or Teamwork from the community. BTW keep up the good work of making up excuses as to why you can not do your job. Bye.
I hope the Mayor puts KCPD under Local control where it should be.
ReplyDelete"Go ahead and be cynical and bitter."
ReplyDeleteI'll agree with you there. When Cops don't get the job done the public becomes cynical and bitter. People get tried of excuses for poor performance.
"By the way law enforcement can only do so much in a community" .....
ReplyDeleteBTW did you guys ever get the 2010 annual report done? OR are you going to BLAME that on the "community" too.
5:13--For all you jackasses that are so worried about that 2010 KCPD annual report, try reading the quarterly reports instead. They're the same thing and are produced immediately. Apparently you've already missed all of last year's reports as well as two quarterly reports this year so far. Way to be behind the curve..
ReplyDelete4:30 AM--Yes, because seat belt alarms stop homicides. Yes, because commanders eating dinner on the Plaza caused homicides. Yes, because ONE bad apple mad a bad decision to drink and drive, please group everyone else in with her. Please do us all a favor and quit your job at the PD. An employee such as yourself is only making the problem worse.
ReplyDelete9:02--Unfortunately there is no changing the 'hood mentality once its mind is made up. You know that as well as I do.
ReplyDelete"ONE bad apple mad a bad decision".....
ReplyDeleteYou have got to be kidding me. ONE ? How about a ENTIRE corrupt command structure!!!!
Been to Jeff City Lately on the wine and dine tour?
"For all you jackasses that are so worried about that 2010 KCPD annual report, try reading the quarterly reports instead." Just another excuse for NOT doing your job as a public servant. Spare us the excuses.
ReplyDeleteHere's an idea get your ass off the internet surfing and get the 2010 annual report done.
"jackasses" ????
ReplyDeleteyou mean the Taxpayers that pay your salary?
Gee wiz maybe the "jackasses" would like to see some results?????
I don't believe local control is up to the mayor. I think city control is coming. And I think you'll find it won't be any better. And people like you will always find a reason to bitch and complain it's what you do and all you do. Whine and complain, whine and complain. Your like a broken record. You'll get city control and you'll be happy for about five minutes. I've been in investigations before and there were days I didn't do a whole lot. But the majority of the time we worked hard. You'll never believe it. So you caught somebody surfing the web. Big deal. Breaking news right. Whatever whiner. Try doing the job before you start complaining about it. Cause you don't have a clue what it entails.
ReplyDeleteI've read all of the comments here and quite frankly it's very disturbing. From the sounds of it, we're all employed by the same department. That being said, we all need to stick together and make this department better with unity. Obviously civilians will never understand the life of sworn personnel and those sworn personnel will not understand the life of a civilian employee. One thing everyone can agree on is that this department could use some positive change whatever that might be. Stick together folks, we need each other right now!!
ReplyDelete4:43pm, 6:14pm, & 4:30am--When Network Ops checks your IP address, have fun explaining to your employer why you were bad mouthing the dept on duty. Good luck with your job search.
ReplyDelete9:00am--So which is it? Get out there and fight crime or get some paperwork done? Because we all know compiling information into an Excel spreadsheet is the quickest way to put bad guys in jail. Thanks for the motivational pep talk. I can hear my Sgt in roll call tonight, "Ease up men, we've got some God damn paperwork to attend to. Those bad guys can wait. Now get your butts in here and start typing."
ReplyDeleteGood call, 9:00am.
Jackass.
Put down some solutions ace.
ReplyDeleteHow would you run it if you were in charge.
"When Network Ops checks your IP address" ..... right how about this the BOPC asks Network Ops to see all the server logs to see how the department members surf the web all day. That might just explain why crime is on the rise. Can't fight crime while on You-tube and Facebook. Good luck on you job search, CJ and sociology degrees are a dime a dozen.
ReplyDelete8/1/11 10:20 AM
ReplyDeleteYeah..... When citizens see the annual and all the crime then you won't be able to hide your poor performance.
Good call, 10:20
8/1/11 10:57 AM
ReplyDelete"Put down some solutions ace.
How would you run it if you were in charge."
Why I thought KCPD had a Planning and Research Unit. Or is that just another KCPD desk jockey boon dongle job so you have less Officers in the field?
Here's a solution hold another KCPD jamboree at 6th floor headquarters starring the Chief of Police.
ReplyDeleteThen hold a big Media sound byte.
The write something in the Chiefs blog.
Boy that sure worked in the past.
8/1/11 9:32 AM
ReplyDeleteYou need to get a new job at one of those "Astrology Phone services" since your so good at predicting the future as what citizens will like and dislike.
Hey, maybe you could become a "Psychic" detective and solve all those homicides stacking up in the Cold Case file.
Still no solutions though. I wonder why that is.
ReplyDeleteI don't think planning and research does the actual running of the dept. Now do they.
What's it like being so perfect I really would like to know.
Why don't any of you bitter people have suggestions you all just make sarcastic comments that offer no positive solution.
Oh yeah. I know all you complainers have never once had an easy day I just know your giving 110% everyday.
ReplyDelete8/1/11 3:48 PM 8/1/11 3:50 PM
ReplyDeleteJust more excuse to try to cover a Piss Poor Performance.
Nice try.
KCPD, the wanna be in the future will solve crime in a perfect world, Police department.
ReplyDelete"Still no solutions though. I wonder why that is."
ReplyDeleteGee wiz 8/1/11 3:48 PM isn't that what YOU get paid to do?
Or are you just another FAT KCPD cop that wants the public to draw you a DOT to DOT way to solve crime. Get real, get off your FAT ass, and get on the streets and use what little brains you have and TRY to solve some crime. That's what you get a Taxpayer paycheck for.
KCPD is an Excuse Police Department.
ReplyDeleteThey have excuses for EVERYTHING, except one.
How to get the job done.
For all your complaining about how stupid we are you REPEAT the same thing again and again.
ReplyDeleteGot nothing else huh.
