We all can't be as perfect as Jordan Carver . . .

Nevertheless, I feel like a story about a struggling Royals baseball didn't get enough attention given that the media and everybody else simply ignores the prolonged losing streaks endured by the local club.
To wit . . . Here's an interesting headline that should mythbust your about a meaningful season but also makes me feel better about all of my FAIL:
Kansas City Royals Pitcher Gives Up 14 Runs And Is Immediately Sent To The Minors
The photo is priceless . . . And it's just another reason to avoid believing so much local hype whether it's local sports or anything else.
This is rather old news, isn't it? Did Tony just hear about it?
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think the photo is "priceless"? Because he's hiding his face behind the ball glove?
He wasn't hiding his face. He was talking with the catcher -- probably about how to pitch to the next batter -- and was hiding his mouth so no one could pick up on the conversation.
I like the story, you sound like you love the Royals.
ReplyDeletewell, hello again everybody. you know, these days i JUST don't understand the royals' THINKING. one day they bring up one of the BEST PITCHING prospects from Omaha, and the next day they send him back. folks, this isn't just like throwing the SMALL fish BACK! THIS is MAJOR league baseball!!! Give the KID a CHANCE! Now, you might think throwing the worst TWO INNINGS in baseball HISTORY is the reason they sent him packing! NOOOOO!!!! The ROYALs sent him packing so TONY you-know-WHOOOO could slam the Royals again!! And that's JACK's SMACK!!
ReplyDeleteLOL almost as good as Chuck.
ReplyDeleteAlmost.
i'm tryin' 4:05, i'm tryin'. i've found a new voice. jack won't like it, but i'm takin' it. (and he doesn't like anything except mizzou.) thanks!
ReplyDeletewelllll, hello again everybody... here we go again....
