TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! SMART POLICING INITIATIVE COMING SOON TO KANSAS CITY AS MISSOURI HOUSE REP. RIZZO WORKS TO INVOLVE NORTHEAST!!!

We all know that the warmer weather typically brings more crime and murder to local streets. It's a trend that everyone wants to stop but few people work to solve.
But there's a bit of hope as things heat up in Kansas City . . .
BEHIND THE SCENES WE HEAR THAT MISSOURI DISTRICT 40 HOUSE REP. JOHN RIZZO IS WORKING TO GET THE NORTHEAST INVOLVED IN THE "SMART POLICING INITIATIVE" SOON TO HIT KANSAS CITY STREETS THIS SUMMER!!!
It's important work that speaks directly to the needs of Missouri District 40 and also collaborates with other anti-crime efforts. Couple this work with Rep. John Rizzo's efforts to go after repeated customers of prostitutes and the young legislator is building himself into one of the rare elected officials who takes legislative work against crime seriously. Making connections with other agencies and officials as well as collaborating with lawmakers and community leaders has always been one of John Rizzo's strengths and it's encouraging to see him put these talents into practice so quickly.

Now let's talk a bit about The Smart Policing Initiative . . . This program is no big secret and I'm sure there's some tech and surveillance stuff in here that TKC and regular readers might object to but what seems promising is an increased focus on community policing and putting cops on the ground and talking to the community.
"My District is a compact, walkable place where everyone knows each other and can help to identify high-crime problem areas," Rizzo has said. "It makes sense that Northeast should benefit from an increased effort and new strategy to fight crime over the Summer."
Philadelphia police recently had a bit of success with this initiative and the federally funded pilot-program proved successful in taking their murder rate down by a significant degree.
Again, what's encouraging in this instance is that we know violence ramps up during the warmer months and elected officials like Rep. Rizzo will hopefully take the problem seriously and work to find new solutions for their communities rather than simply trying the same failed strategy that has yet to work in Kansas City so far.
good work john.
ReplyDeleteDigg Porn Star Kayden Kross in hot hot sexy police outfit!
ReplyDeletewerd.
ReplyDeletedoes the initiative begin with the registration of the entire Rizzo family?
ReplyDeleteI am gald someone is trying to help with the violence. We need more programs targeted towards high crime areas i am impressed.
ReplyDeleteDuh, winning!
ReplyDeleteGood evening Royster.
ReplyDeleteThanks JJ for at least trying its better than anyone has done before.
ReplyDeleteGoin after the johns huh? Don't ya just love goodie two shoes preachin morality?
ReplyDeleteLegislators are just worms and every state is in danger when they're in session.
Community policing is hardly a new idea and one that is NOT practiced by the KCPD except on the west side. It's hard to figure out what a junior state rep is going to accomplish in a jurisdiction and with agencies over which he has no influence.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I guess he's to be commended for at least having some interest in crime an d violence in the city, this sounds more like a big show than it does a serious and sustainable effort to really address the issues.
I guess after he had the idea and nothing gets done it will all be someone else's fault.
Probably a better plan than royster wanting to hang somalias on independence ave.
ReplyDeleteThis is just another tool we have crime out of control and everyone is looking for answers. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI hope it helps. The prostitution thing (harassing the johns) has failed elsewhere so I'm not expwcting much from it.
ReplyDeleteho hum
ReplyDeleteWhat about doing cocaine in your dealer tagged truck? Any plans to fight that?
ReplyDeleteIsn't "Smart Policing" an oxymoron.
ReplyDeleteLike Jumbo Shrimp.
WHAT?
ReplyDeletedoes that mean the police will have to get out of their cars?
ReplyDeleteRizzo and his father torpedoes anti-gang anti prostitution work that Will Royster initiated two years ago. Royster had unanimous City Council support, and the entire Municipal Court judge pool backin his plan.
ReplyDeleteRizzo did everything he could to block the progress, and now it looks like he's trying to piggyback on someone else's idea.
does this mean that all these years we've had dumb policing?
ReplyDeleteRizzo has had nothing to do with community police - or the efforts to get community police on the streets.
ReplyDeleteThis initiative has been in the works for over a year, and Rizzo was never a part of it, but he wants credit for it.
Stolen merit, stolen cars, and stolen elections are all Rizzo has to bolster his hollow community service resume' - but nice promotion, Tony. I'm sure the local media will story-share with you.
Tony, JJ Rizzo has been absent in our community since we elected him. This is not true at all.
ReplyDelete7:56(JJ rizzo...yeah, I read your IP address), you paid somalis to hang themselves.
ReplyDeleteSpecial Election Committee must be gearing up, or something, so Rizzo is looking for somebody's ideas to tout as his own.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he won't be impeached if he has Tony and Northeast Rag Publisher /Rizzo Puppet Bushnell run some more fake stories to pump up his cred.
Nice picture of John standing on the Speaker's turf. Looks like he waited until the chamber was totally empty to get the shot.
ReplyDeleteSo now the entire Rizzo family is living on public money?
This is just TKC doing a "Rizzo Public non-Service Commercial".
ReplyDeleteLike Rizzo introducing "Payday Loan Reform"...insincere, and of no effect.
I think we need more programs.
ReplyDeleteI think we need more Programs funded by COMBAT.
I think we need more Programs funded by COMBAT to pay off friends of County Legislators.
...and to give their kids a place to "work" - like Old Northeast. Oh, wait, it went bankrupt while John was supervising it for his dad. But at least all the County Crooks made money!
LOL what a waste of Taxpayer's money. Be sure to pass MORE taxes so these people come up with more failed ways to spend it.
ReplyDeleteWow, Will Royster and crew are absolutely crazy. Mad because somebody is helping the community and it's not them. That is self service at it's worse. Please go away Royster and company, nobody wants you around.
ReplyDeleteWord is Daddy Rizzo used to feed Bushnell info on pending drug raids that Bushnell passed on to his buddies in the trade.
ReplyDeleteRizzo also used to buy a weekly ad from Bushnell, who has a reputation as a "pay for play" newsie.
Pass the E-Tax so we can give theses idiots even more of our money?
ReplyDelete9:55 Unless Tony is feeding them to you from his stat counter, it's not possible for 3rd parties to read the IP address of anonymous blogger posters.
ReplyDeleteNow stop scaring the Rizzo boy.
He has enough problems of his own to deal with.
7:10 These aren't the idiots we'll be giving our E-Tax money to.
ReplyDeleteIt's a different set of idiots.
Everybody's gotta eat.
Yeah give idiots all our money. Raise taxes so they can turn around and give it to their political friends.
ReplyDeleteIs JJ actually involved in these discussions? It appears he has been noticeably missing in action on this issue and many more. Now he is trying to lay credit when documents show he had no involvement.
ReplyDeleteDoes JJ plan on smart policing begining with the arrest of the entire Rizzo family?
ReplyDeleteDoes the smart policing address abandoned houses because JJ's "home" has been abandoned since the election.
ReplyDeleteDoes smart policing address doing cocaine in Henry Rizzos dealer tagged truck? Or does JJ Rizzo want that part left out?
ReplyDeleteDoes smart policing address prostitution? Because JJ Rizzo was pro-prostitution during the campaign. He also gave his ass up for another shot at fame! Isn't that the same thing?
ReplyDeleteDoes smart policing include companies charging nearby residents 300% interest on loans and when they can't repay it they steal their car and resell it to drug dealers with a Dan Tarwater certified warranty?
ReplyDeleteDoes smart policing include companies charging nearby residents 300% interest on loans and when they can't repay it they steal their car and resell it to drug dealers with a Dan Tarwater certified warranty?
ReplyDeleteRoyster is off his medication again. Hey aqualung- go see a doctor
ReplyDeleteIf Henry Rizzos son is the spokesperson for stopping crime we have some serious issues ahead.
ReplyDeleteWhen John Rizzo walks I can't help but think of that part in Beverly Hills Cop when they say Hey man you got a banana in the tail pipe!
