THEY say that voter turnout could reach 20% today . . . Which is a nice thought during this happy-go-lucky election cycle but completely unlikely if it rains.

The only reason I'm getting out to vote is so I can vote AGAINST Tracy. What a flake.
ReplyDeleteIf you're not sure who you're going to vote for, stay home. Better let people who DO know, than to help someone win on name recognition alone.
ReplyDeleteRepeal the eTax. Lay off bureocrats who spend too much time reading blogs. Vote for Sly. He's got charisma and that's what we need in a mayor. Enough stuffed shirts and blouses already.
Vote for Tracy Ward!
ReplyDeleteThe e-tax is TOAST.
ReplyDeleteTweedle Dum or Tweedle Dee. Most folks, have come to the conclusion it just doesn't matter, they're all the SAME. At the top look at Ole Hope & Change,HELL, we're still in Iraq and Afghanistan, and now LYBIA. In KCMO, the OLIGARCHY will prevail, sly or mike. Why would the KCMO citizens vote out the oppoprtunity to tax non-residents? And increase their on city liabilities?
ReplyDeleteRepeal the etax, make old retired folk pay for their own trash pickup. Layoff 60% of Police and Fire Departments. Smart.
ReplyDeleteI expect the old folks paying for their own trash service is just a scare tactic to get them to vote to keep the eTax.
ReplyDeleteAs to laying off 60 percent of police and fire departments? That one's not so bad. Keep the trash service...just issue trash bags and body bags.
Interesting comments, but today's election isn't the one about the E-tax.
ReplyDeleteThe E-tax doesn't figure into today's voting, except that the mayor and council members elected today will be the ones who have to figure out what to do when the E-tax is defeated later on.
Actually its not a scare tactic its the truth, frightening, right,?that a campaign wouldn't need scare tactics...
ReplyDeleteHaving heard sly & mike on the radio. Those guys are DUMB!!! KCMO is in BIG trouble.
ReplyDeleteCan some explain to me why we are having 2 elections within 2 weeks? Isn't this a waste of money? Combining the votes should have been done!
ReplyDeletee-tax not on this ballot.
ReplyDeleteWho is going to win. It is a freaking nail biter - any of you who want to go to a polling place, you could likely have tremendous influence!
I'm out!
Sly by a less than you can count on two hands.
12:26- The ballot language on Prop A dictated when the e-tax election was held. It was not the decision of Kansas City or Missouri. - If people didn't want to go to the polls so many times we should have worked harder to ensure prop a didn't pass. To late! Make sure you go back and vote tho'
ReplyDeleteGet rid of the E-Tax.
