KCTV5: "Xpressions, a tavern located at 220 Admiral Boulevard may lose its liquor license after failing the required probationary period for new liquor license holders, the city of Kansas City, Mo., said Monday."
Not that I want to defend any club or bar pushing the last legal drug . . . On the other hand, almost everybody complains about Regulated Industries and their enforcement policies that some find nearly impossible to decipher.

Regulated Industries is simply trying to play the hand that was dealt it.
ReplyDeleteIt's the inanity of our Liquor Ordinances that need attention.
On the one hand, businesses are frustrated by their inability to quickly sort out and obtain their licenseure. In some cases, the business plan depends on selling liquor (Trader Joe's).
On the other hand, neighborhoods and residents want protection from unscrupulous and notorious operators (e.g. Club NRG, Xpressions, Bacala's, or anything associated with Del Hedgepath) and from the encroachment of adverse uses (Scott Wagner's earlier post is case in point).
Where and how you draw the lines is not all that easy, Tee, breakfast burritos notwithstanding.
Makes it easy on the coroner.
ReplyDeletehe only has to drive to one spot.
Regulated Industries frequently oversteps and our ordinances do need some major simplifications. But in this case, not creating an environment where your patrons shoot or stab each other every weekend should be a no-brainer.
ReplyDeleteUnless the gangsta crowd is paying cash, 9:36.....
ReplyDeleteIs that a nigger club or a fag club???
ReplyDeleteThe comment before mine shows the mentality of many in Kansas City. This is also the reason they won't be allowed in the P&L District.
