KANSAS CITY MAYOR MARK FUNKHOUSER HAS YET TO CONGRATULATE MAYOR-ELECT SLY JAMES!!!
During a Shanin & Parks interview Mayor Funky answered a question about extending an offer of congratulations quite coyly and even noted that he would have an assistant get back with the Sly James Team.
Mayor-Elect Sly James said he called Mayor Funky and left a message.

THIS IS ABOUT THE SMOOTH TRANSITION OF KANSAS CITY GOVERNMENT AND NOT MAYOR FUNKY'S EGO . . . IT'S ALMOST KINDA SAD TO SEE THE GUY GO OUT WITH NO CLASS!!!
Still, it's a lesson in Kansas City politics . . . Mayor Funky entered into office with a great deal of hope and optimism to create a "City That Works" and has now left in a way that looks very bitter . . . It's now time for Mayor-Elect Sly James to undergo the same experience.
Update from KCTV5: The mayor of Kansas City didn't want to comment about the man who will take his place.

So, now that we have a new crook in the Mayor's seat, I have to wonder if Tony will hound this sly guy day after day. I bet dollars to donuts that the fact that he's black Tony will promote him as the best thing since slice bread. I believe Funkhouser had sincere intentions to clean up all the corruption in city, starting in the Mayor's office, and moving into the City Manager's office. However, the crooks in the City Council didn't want anything to do with getting rid of corruption in this city since the majority of them have skeletons in their closest. Now we have guy who is clearly a racists, who will no doubt funnel money out of one area of the city to prop up those refusing to take responsibility for themselves. What a sad day for Kansas City
