In the weak Mayor form of government, the skills that determine success are the ability to form consensus, build coalitions and inspire confidence.
Mayor-elect Sly James is using his many talents in a fight to preserve Kansas City's E-Tax.
THANKS TO A RATHER AWESOME TKC TIPSTER WHO SENT US THIS PHOTO OF THE EVENT AND THE NEW CITY COUNCIL SUPPORTING MAYOR-ELECT SLY JAMES IN THE NAME OF THE E-TAX!!!
Incumbents and newbie Council people came out to stand behind Mayor-elect Sly James as he spoke of reaffirming Kansas City's E-Tax along with creating better & more efficient government.
We hear Mike Mahoney threw some very hard questions at them . . . But overall a very successful event and a nice show of support for Mayor-Elect Sly James at this early date.
