The Star reports on the latest P&L District payout on top of the millions the district loses every year purely on the basis of bad financial planning: A dress code enforcement case against the Mosaic Lounge was settled for a confidential amount of money and with no finding of wrongdoing by the defendant, according to plaintiffs' attorney Arthur Benson.

ReplyDeleteArthur Benson? Isn't he the guy we have to thank for the De-Seg fiasco?
ReplyDeleteWay to go Yancey Davis! Kick Cordish's ass by meeting withthose people and advising them to file those dress code lawsuits. They are planning on refiling the second one for $20 million from what I heard.
ReplyDeletePeachtree should be the next to sue. The Peachtree was the only victim in the Power and Light District. The gentlement that sued feeling were hurt the Peachtree loss revenue and were disrespected and mistreated.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that this post follows the one about money spent per resident in a number of surrounding metro communities.
ReplyDeleteThe P&L District costs the taxpayers $12 million a year and you can then add in the other upside down TIF projects that the general fund has to support. That's around $20 million that has NOTHING to do with services for the residents. Do the math.
Be sure to pass the E-Tax so the politicians have even more money to throw away.
ReplyDeleteI am voting no on the E-Tax. When this city stops funding P\L then I will support the E+Tax
