Pro-E-Tax ads are starting to make TIVO a blessing once again when it comes to watching the local news . . . However, a recently released one is my favorite . . . Anytime a political ad can make the other side look sleazy with cash exchanges in parking lots and briefcases full of money . . . That's good stuff.
In reality, the E-Tax opponents are really just JoCo people and other rich white dudes exactly like the other rich white dudes on the other side of the campaign . . . But modern life has increasingly become an issue of branding . . . So the premise works.
BS .... Vote No E-Tax.
ReplyDeleteWhy?
ReplyDelete--1:07 PM
ReplyDeletePlease provide valid facts and reasoning why.
Who's paying for this slick 'keep kc alive' propaganda?
ReplyDeleteCause 1:07 said so, that's why. And don't ask who's supporting the repeal campaign. And don't ask why. Just don't ask.
ReplyDeleteRadioman, pull your head out of your butt. The list of supporters was made public weeks ago. What a dope!
ReplyDeleteHow dumb can one blogger look? Just ask Radioman, who apparently doesn't get it. One side is aboveboard, does what is required, and argues as best they can. The other side hides their contributors and looks totally bad, even though their arguments make a certain amount of sense.
ReplyDeleteRadioman can't figure out which side is which.
Were I a resident of KC, the political ads Tony references would probably cause me to vote to keep the earnings tax, even though I have serious reservations about it.
Radioman is fast becoming a clown.
ReplyDeleteAboveboard? That's a laugh.
ReplyDeleteThe E-Tax opponents that I know are mostly blue-collar who manage to pay for their own trash pickup while subsidizing every lazy ass in K.C. who the city knows will let their trash pile up on the curb if they don't come and get it for free.
Just think how much money would be saved on trash pickup if K.C. got out of the trash welfare business and let private contractors do it instead.
Millions$$$$$$$$
I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to the ad. I thought the sleezy exchange of cash in the parking lot was the Rowland campaign giving some walking around money to Freedom!
ReplyDeleteWhy would you have reservations against this E-Tax to me there is only one clear answer and thats to vote yes to keep it. Without the tax the city will lose damn near $200 million dollars. and the city will have to make that up somehow. most likely in property takes. so would you rather pay $1 for every $100 that earn to the city? or increased property taxes? (For those who dont know the E-Tax works, it basically is a 1% tax from your paychecks.)
