To develop any "insight" it's probably helpful to actually talk to the individual in question, in this case Sly James. Something tells me that RDM hasn't had a discussion of public safety with Mr. James.

I attended a number of the forums during the campaign and have to agree with 1:13pm. Sly never implied that he was going to rescue anyone. In fact, he talked on a number of occasions about the fact that neighborhoods have to police themselves and cooperate and communicate with the PD.
ReplyDeleteIf James makes this a high priority and it turns out he can work with the council and the police board, there's a better than even chance something serious can be done to empahsize community policing and have some real impact on the violence.
But everyone is going to have to pull their own weight.
