FUMO: The National Coalition for Safer Roads (NCSR) released its second ad yesterday as part of their larger campaign to support the use of red light cameras -- and push back against legislative efforts to ban their use by municipalities.
"Leaders" is the first scary Pro-Red-Light-Camera-Video.
"Portraits" reminds us that YOU'RE GONNA DIE IF YOU DON'T SUBMIT TO A POLICE STATE!!!
Sadly, one example after the next reveals that overall, massive surveillance undertakings don't make people safer on City Streets.

All social systems of repression - from ancient Roman slavery to early American slavery to the Nazi concentration camps to the modern American prison archipelago, all of them - rely on the consent of the oppressed to carry out their objectives of domination. "Soft" tyrannical schemes are no different: people choose exactly how much injustice they are willing to bear.
ReplyDeleteEasy fix: don't run red lights.
ReplyDeleteNever understood those who oppose red-light cameras but push for tighter border control and harsh punishment of "illegals" (obviousloy not talking about Tony).
ReplyDeleteAfter all, if it's ok to break the law and run a red light if the police aren't parked right there, shouldn't it be equally as ok to come across our border without documentation if the border patrol and local police aren't there? After all, breaking the law is breaking the law. They cry "nanny state" when the govt tries to regulate polution or health, and "big brother" when a camera is installed to catch them in the act and provide evidence of illegal activity, but then say that cops should be able to pull you over, pry into your background and demand paperwork if your skin is a different color than what they like... Maybe someone could explain that to me.
2:18, are you seriously comparing the red light cameras to slavery and Nazi concentration camps? And are you seriously suggesting that American slaves and European Jews were somehow willing participants in their oppression? Because is so, you're a fucking idiot.
ReplyDelete4:05 - well said!
ReplyDeleteOnly dumbasses that run red lights complain about getting a ticket for running red lights.
ReplyDeletethis one came from fark.com: Extending length of yellow lights from 4.3 seconds to 5 seconds causes 62 percent drop in red-light tickets, lost profits for city

STUPID FUCKERS THAT RUN RED LIGHTS ALWAYS KILL. SO SHUT THE FUCK UP AND DON'T RUN RED LIGHTS YOU STUPID FUCKS!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe they should put the mounted police on every corner. What a complete waste of money.
ReplyDeleteNEWSFLASH: People get tickets when they are actually innocent.
ReplyDeleteNEWSFLASH FOR THE DUMBASSES
ReplyDeleteThe company that makes and sell the cameras is the NCSR.
What a bunch of maroons we got in this town.
"...are you seriously suggesting that American slaves and European Jews were somehow willing participants in their oppression?"
ReplyDeleteQuite so. Not all, but some. Enough, anyway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KKgNToLrYk
Have you never heard of the novel Uncle Tom's Cabin?
I was just hit and run via a Red Light an the person didn't have insurance!
ReplyDeleteI wish were there has been more than 3 accident's do to someone running a red light a camera would be installed. An yes if they have no insurance tags should be re-moved from cars, and the driver driving a car without insurance should never be able to obtain license to drive! They should also have there photo posted on public tv as not following the law! And should have to do community service.
