Just a few quick thought on constant KU Basketball losing as of late . . .
First of all . . . Weekend news was basically dedicated to the nothing but the game and inevitable defeat and that puts local homicides and the recent election in perspective. At some point local mainstream media was reporting on shoe sizes of KU players in far more detail than a recent proposed truce between Kansas City And Kansas sponsored business poaching brokered by Missouri House Reps. Mike Talboy and Ryan Silvey.
But I understand, the hobbies of middle-aged white dudes and their passion for sports they could never have played competitively trumps all other concerns.
That's why I'm happy to see KU caught in the same cycle of failure as everything else covered by Kansas City mainstream media. It's comforting actually.
As of late the Rock Chalk Jayhawks only have the distinction of totally screwing up The President's Bracket.
And most of their students are too young to remember old school glory . . . Again, we have another cycle of failure dutifully reported by mainstream media that doesn't look to change anytime soon.

And all of this was really just an excuse to feature Jordan Carver in a rather gully KU colors in the middle of a sunflower garden.
MU fans are having a field day with KU falling in the Elite Eight.

ReplyDeleteThe comments from Bottom Line Communication are so far off base as to invite one's ignoring, but I cannot force myself to do so. To imply that the reffing caused KU to lose, or that somehow the media caused it is just stupid. Basketball is a really simple game, with you just having to put the ball in the hoop more than your opponents.

I hate it as much as the next Kansan when we lose a game we should win, but we got beat. We got out-coached, out-shot and out-defended.
But top blame the refs is just wrong.
