AirClaire Costs Take Off To $320k

KMBC: U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill could owe a total of nearly $320,000 in overdue property taxes, interest and penalties on an airplane that has caused her political headaches.

  2. The law is pretty simple. If your airplane is in the state on January 1st, you pay the tax. So... either pay the tax or take a vacation on New Year's Eve. Everyone with an airplane in Missouri understands the rules except Claire, it appears.
