TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! MAYOR FUNKY CAUGHT BREAKING CAMPAIGN FINANCE RULES AND REGS WITH ANONYMOUS CONTRIBUTIONS!!!

KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS are doing A LOT of work behind the scenes and making sure candidates for Mayor are following Missouri Ethics guidelines.
To wit . . .
IT LOOKS LIKE MAYOR FUNKY IS TAKING CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS THAT RUN AFOUL OF CURRENT RULES AND REGS!!!
During his term let's not forget that Mayor Funky was fined $1000 bucks for screwing by way of ethics rules.
And now here were are again despite all of the claims that he's "smart with the money" and he has so much skill (that nobody has ever seen) as an auditor.
First the rules for Missouri campaigns:
Anonymous contributions are limited to $25 per person.
Anonymous contributions for one calender year are limited $500 total.
However . . .
MAYOR FUNKY'S LATEST 8 DAY CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORT REVEALS THAT KANSAS CITY'S HIGHEST ELECTED OFFICIAL IS TAKING $400 BUCKS FROM TWO ANONYMOUS DONORS!!!
Check it:
He has taken other anony donations before so we'll have to check on that second rule. But clearly, this report lists a clear breach of the 1st rule limiting single anony donations by $25 bucks a person.
So look for an amended report after the Mayor fails to make it to the primary.
Meanwhile . . . AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS are busy keeping local politicos on their feet but not exactly honest. Natch.
BFD TKC. The big story is Hermann's huge contributors and what they're leveraging. Oh, but you like Deb that's right.

ReplyDeleteYes, lets look at Deb Hermann while we continue giving Funkhouser a free pass.
There's a lot of comedy on TKC. But "free pass" for Funkhouser has to be the the biggest joke yet.
ReplyDeleteMark became an auditor because he got a job working for a friend who was an auditor. He is most definitely not a math wiz.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was five years old I played Pinochle with my parents & Mark. I was the one who kept score. While everyone kept telling me how smart he was, I watched him struggle in school with D's. He should have stuck to the career his friend gave to him & for which he never trained. (None of his degrees are in accounting or economics.)
Byron is correct
ReplyDeleteWhy no mention of the sex offender Deb hired.
ReplyDeleteIt was on channel 41 last night.
Jeez, am I glad I didn't have a bitter brother to tattle on me 40 years later for the shit I did as a little kid! Heh heh heh! ROFLMAO!
ReplyDeleteI'm not tattling, Radioman. I'm not bitter, either. He abuses power, therefore I don't want him to have any.
ReplyDeleteWho are you? What is your interest? You have a handle, but you're still anonymous.
However, my experiences on this blog are a good argument for allowing anonymous comments!

ReplyDelete"It was on channel 41 last night."
Well then, sounds like there was a mention.
What about the 30 Grand that James B. Nutter has given to Deb Hermann through supposedly independent committees that are secretly controlled by Jim Bergfalk, who runs Hermann's campaign? The 10 Grand mentioned here is only the third such check that Nutter has given Bergfalk.
ReplyDeleteExpect to See Negative Mailers from "Committee for Integrity"
Yesterday a long inactive KC PAC, the "Committee for Integrity", took a $10,000 check from James Nutter. We expect the PAC to run at least one negative mailer against a Deb Hermann opponent.
Less than a month ago, Nutter endorsed Deb Hermann - and Prime Buzz noted that Nutter, a political 'kingmaker', "declined to say how much he would spend to help Hermann's campaign... individual donors face $3,000 limits, although contributors can support favored candidates through other avenues."
The 'other avenue' that Prime Buzz referenced is what we'll be seeing in mailboxes some time over the next week.
From The Source.
Why hasn't TKC had a huge episode on it. Funk fuck up $400 and we get several inches.
ReplyDeleteBergfalk is the lobbyist of County government, who is a business partner of Scott Burnett -- the Conflict of Interest King of the Jackson County Legislature.
ReplyDeleteBecause it's a non-story?
ReplyDelete11:40 and 11:48 == it's easy to present scandalous claims if you don't have to worry about proof, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteTony wants to report on Funky's financial woes but not report on the KC Star and Northeast News story on Mike Fletcher saying contribution limits don't apply to his campaign?
ReplyDeleteTony, don't let Steve Glorioso use you as his personal bitch. This is such a planted story it is hilarious.

ReplyDeleteSince wen do the rule apply to Funky
ReplyDeleteSince wen do the rule apply to Funky
ReplyDeleteI always suspected that Deb was a crook. She always looks unhappy and greedy.
ReplyDelete2/15/11 12:30 PM
ReplyDeleteWhats that say about Mark Funkhouser/Gloria Squitiro?
So Scott Burnett aids Bergfalk in robbing us blind at the County, and if we vote for Deb Hermann she can help Bergfalk rob us blind at the city. What a deal!
ReplyDeleteWow the Burke campaign people are busy slamming Hermann for running a positive campaign and for having broad-based support. Burke's campaign money is coming from his own bank account. Rowland's money is coming from the Heavies. And Funk's coffers will soon fill up with Jeff Roe found funds.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the French Veolia, a Bergfalk client (Bill George) and the Business Rights Assoc (Nigro) bundles.
ReplyDeleteNutter is also sending money for Deb to Dutch Newman and her fake Democrat club (Westport Landing). So much for ethics laws.
ReplyDeleteFunky's campaign finance disclosures are all fucked up and have been for some time.
ReplyDeleteNo employer name, no occupation listed, taking too much in anonymous donations, etc.
But give credit where credit is due- At least Funky no longer spells it "Anonymouse".....
Ignorant haters.
ReplyDeleteI don't know much, but its clear that Funk is scared to death of Deb, based on the hysterical psuedo-scandals that Roe&Co is planting on this blog. That tells me that she deserves careful consideration for my vote, and, most likely, that she is leading in the most recent Roe&Co poll.
ReplyDeleteGloria Squitiro crawl inside pregnant woman for most of her life now she thinks she is qualified to run a City.
ReplyDeleteStupid Bitch.
Dis bee Ajamu (sukper fly) Webster en I bee likkin mee som funnk.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if anyone thinks that the media or blogs will change voters minds.
ReplyDeleteI am a Deb supporter. I love that the whole thread turns into bashing her when she isn't even the subject of the story. I also love the way the critics attacks contradict one another. Sorry kids, you all saw the most-recent poll. That's why you are making it all about HER. It's game over. The undecideds won't change their minds. They are undecided because they are staying home. Deb makes it through the primary. All of your ugliness isn't going to change that one whit.
ReplyDeleteFunk, Gloria and Roe are so scared of Hermann. Actually Roe is probably just scared of not getting paid, since Funk's kids are soaking up all the cash.
ReplyDeleteByron tells it like it is. I like that.
ReplyDeleteNorth splits 3 ways. Political class/elites share Burke/Deb. Avg uninformed/pissed off go Funk. Funk group much larger....he advances with Sly a disappointment. Plenty of same type of voters south.
ReplyDeleteFunk and Sly in the Final. Funk wins in close election. Deja vu.
