This could be the defining missive of the 4th District At-Large Race Election Race . . .
It's a simple note of support that also documents the intolerant writings of another candidate.
Dear All:
I am contacting you at the urging of several friends and colleagues who are very concerned about Annie Presley's bigoted far right political views. Attached are examples of Ms. Presley's own writings. Apparently, she is proud of what she stands for. Please read the attached items and decide for yourself whether this is someone who should hold city-wide office in Kansas City, Missouri.
Frankly, when the original email first came to my attention, I laughed it off. On further consideration, this is no laughing matter. If you are Catholic, Jewish or Gay, Ms. Presley's opinions should give you pause. Her views on Hispanics, African-Americans and Muslims, I can only imagine.
We have an election coming up on Tuesday. Those of you who know me, know that I am a strong supporter of Anne McGregor for the 4th District at large council seat. I believe Anne McGregor is by far the most progressive and best candidate in this race. However, no matter whom you may support, I am urging everyone I know to vote for anyone BUT Ms. Presley.

Does anyone really care what this guy thinks? He apparently has time to show up to a lot of political functions. But does that make his opinion influential?

ReplyDeleteI read through the Presley comments. Not sure I agree with all, but I certainly agree with most. These are in no way intolerant. If I lived in her district, I'd vote FOR Presley based upon these comments.

Not only does Glorioso support Annie Presley, he also supported Anne McGregor's efforts during the failed recall.
Glorioso is a strange beast (Wolf in Sheep's clothing) serving only his own interests at the expense of unsuspecting political hopefuls.
Glorioso's involvement in this campaign will most likely ensure neither Annie, or Anne will advance to the general election. Someone elses campaign has paid Glorioso more money (favors) than Annie for a sure failure tomorrow. Thats how Glorioso serves himself-by taking money from as many people as possible while delivering results to the highest payer.

ReplyDeleteHarris knows Annie Presley sank any chance his girl friend, Anne McGregor, had to make the run-offs as the only woman on the ballot. He is frantic to be politically relevant. He does fail to disclose that Presley's husband let Wilder go from the law firm. This is all very personal with Wild man Wilder.

Shame on Presley, and shame on the Star for supporting her.
