TAKE A LOOK AT THE TKC KANSAS CITY PRIMARY ELECTION NIGHT MONTAGE!!!

We have a lot to talk about in the morning but I worked for a bit on this post and wanted to share with TKC readers how election night looked to me . . .

Here's a look of Mayor Funky walking out the door.

Jim Rowland had his watch party at Mike's on Troost. That's Jan in the foreground but she was at every party tonight . . .

Jim Roland had the best insight tonight, upon learning of the REALLY LOW voter turnout he said: "Given people fighting for Democracy in Egypt and all over the world, does this town's lack of participation mean Kansas City gives up the right to complain?"

At the Sly camp . . . Watching John McGurk and Sly Campaign personnel Brad McCormick keep track of results on the election board sites.

My favorite photo of the night, Diana Kander waves hi to TKC readers in front of a Sly sign.

Here's a look at dead tree media using new tech and filing video posts from the Burke campaign. I like the double view of Helling in the camera viewfinder.

Another favorite photo . . . Kansas City Political Consultant Katie Daily in front of Mike's, she was everywhere as well tonight.

Mike Burke embracing victory in front of the cameras . . . On the race Mike Burke said, "We have to guys who honestly like each other in this General Election. So we are going to talk about issues and run a campaign that will be good for Kansas City."

Here's a nice shot with Sly James Supporter and MO State House Rep. Jason Kander with Sly James's step-mom.

A shot of Sly James noting his great returns from tonight . . . "We have a lot of work ahead of us. Tomorrow we hit the ground running," Sly said.

Finally, this is my favorite photo of the night . . . Upon hearing that she made it past the primary Tracy Ward broke down in tears. Here she is just looking at results.

Remember not so long ago TKC readers learned of her campaign and we've been talking a lot about hope for her 6th District Run.

Congratulations to all the winners tonight . . . And most importantly, everybody who voted.

  10. Tony, tony, tony. I watched the first five or ten minutes of the news on channel 9,

Seen it already. Why are you spending so much time trying to compete with all those people working for channel 9?

Don't bother. Spend your time analizing. Bring us something they DIDN'T. You can't compete on the images. TV does that better than the internet can ever hope to.

So find your nitch. What TV does isn't it, young man! So don't try to beat them in a medium that just can't possibly compete!

The election is OVER. Spend your/our browse time offering something they COULDN'T!, but the paper will in the morning!
