Technically, I like Mayor Funky's latest campaign video featuring some drawings and motion graphics.
But when it comes to content and message the clip is just another collection of images featuring MAYOR FUNKY FAIL and only somebody who really didn't understand economics or local government revenue would tout this town's paltry numbers during a recession.
Sadly, Mayor Funky is still running his old campaign based on image, a basic disrespect for facts or any kind of reality outside a close-knit group of loyalists.

Of course, if you count up the people who don't understand economics or local government, you get about 95% of the KCMO population. And these elections aren't about understanding how things work at 12th and Oak, because they work for the insiders, who know EXACTLY how they can get what they want.

I am sure that Mike Sanders is crying this weekend as he waits for his endorsed candidate Deb Hermann moves closer and closer to defeat, like so many other candidates that Sanders has endorsed.
ReplyDeleteEndorsements don't pull the same weight that they used to. They don't sway more than a few votes. Times have changed folks.
ReplyDeleteThe Kander-Justus endorsement will mean more to Sly than the Mike Sanders endorsement will mean to Deb Hermann on Tuesday.

Sanders likes the Eastern Jack Big Biscuit crowd, where they can sit around and make fun of Wet Backs, Niggers, Kikes and Dykes. That does not sell in the Corridor of KC; although, "The Wicked Witch of the Northland" would probably feel at home in Eastern Jack.
Sanders has never run in a contested election. He has always defeated straw-candidates. Sanders endorsement of Hermann will do nothing to save her.
Sly and Burke will head to the General, and Burke will win.
