You'd almost feel sorry for him IF he hadn't cost Kansas City hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of lawsuits and even more in wasted time and public humiliation while doing absolutely nothing to battle against Kansas City's homicide rate.
A celebration by two members of the council that has been the worst in many many years. Now maybe Circo can more freely look out for the firefighters and shove money under the table for friends' parkland projects.

Real Class. Not! Two members who had questionable ties and "gifts" to their supporters. Marcason has an inappropriate relationship with Burns & McDonnell and Circo with Firefighter's and her big funders While her district continues to ask, "Where is she?" Both are busy making money for their friends exploring a hotel the taxpayers don't support.

Now Cindy can go back to exclusively working for her firefighters.

ReplyDeleteI, too, thought this was a perfect example of how the KC Fail of the last four years had a lot to do with the Mayor AND the Council. Jan's unopposed, but KC should send a message and bounce Cindy right back to the nail salon business.

ReplyDeleteIf they are smart they will fire the City Manager and His staff and start new. The pit bull is dead and the funk can be removed with some elbow grease. Maybe the City can move forward from this dark chapter.

I have a good relationship with the council. I like some more than others. Someone needs to have a talk with them and I am not a big enough contributor for them to listen to. I wish the money leaders in this city would make sure thre is not a repeat of the past four years for James and Burke's sake. Funkhouser was not a likable guy but they overreacted at very turn. The Cauthen firing, since the majority of them agreed to fire him when they were first asked about it what made them mad was not being told it was coming. I would be mad and tell the Mayor so. I wouldn't vow to never work with him agan like they did. Each and every mistake he made was his cross to bear. They jumped into the middle of it like a pack of wolves.
I am not sure whether it was a bad synergy created by the whole or if so many women together fed on each other and him or something else but this was a seriously dysfunctional group. Deb said during the campaign that 22 gets along fine and works well together, that's a lie.
So, someone please set these members straight and avoid a hostile takeover for Burke and James. They loved Funk at first too and then he crossed them and that's all it took.
