ReplyDeleteGood example why people are leaving Kansas City. However in KCMO we have crime, corruption, TIF, lawsuits, no community policing efforts, poor City services, a defunct City Hall.
5:29pm is ezactly right. And in KCMO you have egos, personalities, self-appointed "leaders" in the minority communities yelling about vicitmization and demanding handouts, insider dealing at city hall, a vast array of "economic development: fiefdoms, not-for-profits that are more interested in protecting their turf and continuing their grants than in providing services, grifters and hangers-on that have bilked the tazpayers for decades, and ABSOULTELY NO ONE IN CITY HALL ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANYTHING AT ALL.
ReplyDeleteAnd instead of leadership, innovative ideas, and a sense of common purpose, what KCMO offers is whining, complaining, and demanding "their fair share" from others. And KCK and other well-run jurisdictions in the metro are eating KCMO's lunch!
Nobody likes a loser.
And in a democracy, you get exactly the kind of government you settle for and deserve.
