An Eastside Community Newspaper gives Jim Rowland The Nod For Kansas City Mayor . . . And this kind of confirms my observation that Rowland seems to have locked up a great deal of support among people of color.
Endorsing Jim Rowland's candidacy are:
The La Raza Political Club
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Biz PAC
Freedom, Inc,
Heavy Constructors
Minority Contractors Association of Greater Kansas City
Hispanic Association Contractors
Women Construction Owners and Executives
Downtown Council PAC

We dont need Glorioso back in the Mayors office. Rowland has made alot of promises $$ he cant keep.
ReplyDeleteShould be an exciting . . I mean terrifying election.
ReplyDeleteOh great! Niggers and Glorioso. What a combination..
ReplyDeleteMaybe Giles can be in Rowlands office to keep Glorioso informed.
ReplyDeleteNot a big surprise here:
ReplyDeleteContractors who Jim worked with on the stadiums and a couple minority groups he paid off for an endorsement.
Now, if he wins, they'll all be in his office looking for paybacks. I thought we weren't going to do that this time around.
So much for that college class prediction of 2%. I still think this guy slides into the finals.
ReplyDeleteRowland may very well make it.
ReplyDeleteRowland has no traction. He has the endorsements but no votes. The Globe is really a stolen newspaper highjacked by Denise Jordan. They threaten businesses and organizations if you don't advertise with them. Whoever heard of Newspaper Thugs? Really? Really? Only in the Black community do you have this type of cannibalism.
ReplyDeleteRowland carries more weight than one thinks. He has done a lot for a lot of people and doesn't have to worry about other candidates stealing from his base like Burke, Funk and Hermann do or like Sly does with Wheeler's name still on the ballot.
ReplyDeleteI'm calling Rowland and Burke. Burke gets a lot of north support and Kay will pull in a lot for him. Funkhouser & Hermann squash each other fighting over north support. Wheeler's name alone commands 8%; people love him and that with Rowland and Burke's support kills James.
ReplyDeleteBurke 25%
Rowland 23%
Funkhouser 18%
James 14%
Hermann 8%
Wheeler 8%
Klein 4%
Let's see 12:45 Kay got her ass kicked last time out by the northland vote when she rave against Graves. wheeler got beat down by Mike Sanders when he ran for County Executive. Did not receive 8 percent of the vote. Right now James, Funk are polling at 1 and 2 with Burke moving into number 3.
ReplyDelete1:49 think a little bit as that was a Congressional race not a City race. Kay was Mayor and has a lot of northland money support from the same crowd pushing candidates like Dillingham and Presley.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Wheeler got almost 20% in that race as Sanders finished with 78%.
James belly flops with Hermann.
Gray and Roe are two-timing Funk and Rowland so we will see who benefits from it.
Whoever does finishes 2nd.
Burke, Rowland, Funk
Burk, Funk, Rowland
I say Burke 25% Rowland 23%
ReplyDeleteJames finishes 4th. Your "polls" are on drugs which would explain why James invested so much in the northland where he doesn't stand a prayer instead of the southland where he could use one.
Alvin Brooks' death kiss was Pat Gray who robbed him blind in what was easily the worst mayoral campaign run in recent memory. Who is Gray advising now? Rowland or Funkhouser via Roe? Rowland is the next should have been mayor to be screwed over. Funk benefits from it. Burke 25% and Funkhouser 23%. In order Rowland, James, Hermann, Wheeler and Klein follow.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet Pat Gray was chosen by the clueless Chamber to "run" the e-tax campaign, and he and the other "consultants" will all be back in the next elections four years from now.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why the results never change?
So, tell me all of you campaign consultants who are commenting...if burke, rowland & sly are fighting it out for the top spots, why are the firefighters paying thousands of dollars to try to fight Hermann off? Because she's leading. GO DEB! Burke couldn't get the northland if he bought it...oh wait, he already tried that.
ReplyDeleteVote no on Rowlands.Keep Pat Gray out of our City Govenment.
ReplyDeleteWay too much bad news about to come out on Deb. She'll be the biggest loser..so to speak. Funk and Sly get 1 and 2 or 2 and 1.
ReplyDelete8:44, it will be more fictitious mud-slinging by Funk and Burke and Glorioso. Deb has polled consistently in the one and two spots. Rowland is in the tank with single digit approval and name ID. Burke may be gaining traction, but he is not raising money. Sly will kill him in fundraising.
ReplyDeleteAnd for you all worried about Glorioso back in City Hall... you should be. If Rowland wins, (which he won't) Steve the Ick will be back. If Burke wins, Glorioso will be back.
Kay's name has no weight anymore. The Northland can't stand her, and she pulled up stakes and moved back south as soon as Graves kicked her ass. She hurts a campaign more than helps it.
a bunch of mexican power nothings on that list!
ReplyDeleteThe firefighters are spending thousands of dollars to attack Deb because Pat Gray is also running all of their campaigns and robbing them blind. It was either attack Funk or attack Deb and being that Gray and Jeff Roe, who is "running" Funk's campaign, work together on everything they weren't going to attack Funk.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing just how out of touch so many of these readers are for people who are actively involved in politics.
If you think the Star is irrelevant, where does that put the Globe?
