TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY MAYOR FUNKY'S DESPERATION ON DISPLAY!!!

A VERY SPECIAL THANKS to a KICKASS TKC TIPSTER who got a look at Mayor Funky's recent campaign signage and finds a lot of thing missing.

Check the note that quickly directs us to what is wrong with the image . . . Other than the fact that it seems sorta depressing.

"There is no union bug on this poster ... Hopefully the union folks who gave their endorsement Mayor Funky received aren't too picky about these things.

Are the discounts being offered also being counted as in-kind contributions? Because they should be.

How about publicizing city transportation as though it was provided by the Funk folks? Are the vendors listed on this flyer going to be claimed on the Ethics report filing? Obviously these expenses were incurred in the last filing period, so the next report should be very telling.

This doesn't pass the smell test. Or if it does smell, it reeks of desperation"

Here's the flyer hanging in the City Market:

Interesting . . .

BECAUSE THE CITY MARKET GETS MONEY FROM KANSAS CITY AND SHOULDN'T BE LITTERED WITH MAYOR FUNKY'S CAMPAIGN LITERATURE!!!

It's kind of like if a vendor at Arrowhead decided to put up a bunch of Jim Rowland gear . . . It wouldn't go over well.

In any event . . . Mayor Funky's ugly mug is prepared to ruin The First, First Friday of the year with campaign signage that has a great many problems.

Developing . . .

HAHA! Where your ads for JJ Rizzo on election day listed as in-kind?! I didn't see a union bug on those ads either, way to go around the working man and put him out of work.

  4. "Wear your Funk button for deals at City Market bars."

And don't forget to wear them downtown for "deals" at City Hall.
    ;) ;)

  5. Now I know what bars and restaurants in City Market to not support if they are stupid enough to sponsor Funkhouser.

  7. Rizzo Hater,

Its the "deals" that are campaign contributions. The difference between the regular price & the deal price should be listed as a campaign contribution by the bar owners.

Tony's ad here was no different than a "yard sign" placed by a supporter. If the Rizzo's weren't offered a discount then there is nothing to report.

  9. Rizzo Man Weiner Licker, aka Byron,

So if Google gave JJ a free ad on their webpage, that wouldn't be a contribution? I think it would. TKC is by no means Google, but you have to draw a line that is clear to all.

Slurp up that spaghetti noodle for a minute and get back to me.

  10. I think it is time for a TKC reader survey to guage just how low Funky's vote will fall.

We need a fill in the dot page where with a list of projected Funky vote percentages: 1-5, 6-15, 16-25 etc.

Google charges for ads. Does Tony?

If Tony does not charge others for their displays on this page, it is not a contribution.

  12. Rizzo Haters can't seem to help being vulgar & homophobic. They probably think it makes them look smart & manly.
    It makes them look silly.

About the Funk buttons: When Mark Funkhouser calls himself Funk, he insults his brothers & all of his ancestors. He is not THE Funk, or FUNK, he is Mark FUNKHOUSER.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Byron, your comment about Funk insulting his ancestors is silly...really?

  14. Let's see if anyone has the guts to follow up with the MO Ethics Commission. We know Roy Greenway is a do-nothing. Is the state any better?

    ReplyDelete
  15. No, it isn't. He seems to be saying that we are only Funkhouser's, while he's the FUNK. Its arrogant. He is not the FUNK. He is only the eldest, not the only.

    ReplyDelete
  16. P.S.

    My brothers agree with me.

  17. Byron, sounds like you boys are crying in your breast milk, you big babies. Go do something with your life.

You must have been circumcised, as you clearly don't have thick skin.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Tell me what your last name is so I can make fun of it. It is not too much to ask that my brother not mangle the family name!

    ReplyDelete
  19. The Wrong Funkhouser was elected mayor of KC.

  20. Whats happening or not happening all around us is typically a reflection of those who are in charge isn't that the way it still works?

  21. Cry Cry cry.....my last name is Buddafuca, so what?!

seriously, you cant be serious about this. Its an awesome last name, he markets its well. If i had that name i would pimp it out too.

go screw one of your other brothers, i promise you will forget about this issue for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Byron, what ethnicity is the name Funkhouser? Where is the family from?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Byron, I hadn't considered your family as Funks... I think of it as derogatory solely to mark.
He is bringing shame unto himself. His out of control grab for free publicity by using city resources is very dirty.
I also think we can save $250,000 from the budget by cutting Roy Greenway's office. The Red Flag Auditor is not effective. Simply not effective. Maybe Mr. Greenway is a board member of "The International Center For Performance Auditing."

  24. I bet these were printed using city money and offices! No wonder there is not a union label.

Byron, I feel for you , for having a brother such as Mark. Ignore the other ignorant bastards who try to degrade you. Sociopaths do not have a conscience and do not care who they hurt.

I do hope Ms. Squitiro saves the nails she used to hang these posters around the City Market. She would qualify that part of her wedding plans for her daughter as being "green" if she reuses them to nail the wedding invitations to the poles. Perhaps the poor, old thing can use the backside of the posters to print the invites. For Ms. Squitiro that would be New York classy.
I am heartened to see that they are already stocking up on the beer for the formal Wedding Toast.

  26. You often mention the Kansas City Kansan site.

I notice they still have an ad up for the Kansas City "Wizards" promoting an Oct. 9 game.

Wow. Nick's really on top of things.

  27. Too bad--I have to now boycott some nice places. But, if they support Funkhouser, they cannot have my money.

On my father's side I am descended from three brothers who came here from Bern, Switzerland in 1697.

Today, the name means Radio Shack. Of course, that's not what it meant in 1697. I think that 'Armorer by the road' is the best translation. The family crest has three fields, two with anvils, & one with a 'German' helmet.

  29. Thanks, I needed to know the etymology so to figure out which ethnic jokes I should start tracking down.......i will get back to you shortly....

  30. dude, Byron, i get why you are such a pussy. I cant find ANY good swiss jokes out there. Apparently you people have such a lack of humor that no even can even think of good jokes about you. Lucky for you i guess, i was gonna give you a real verbal beating.

  31. Hey Rizzo Haters!

Was Representative Rizzo seated? Did Moreno waste Royster funds bribing Republicans? LOL
