TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! HEY KANSAS CITY, SOMETHING STINKS ABOUT BILL GEORGE AND HIS FRENCH PARENT COMPANY!!!

TKC put out the call regarding Kansas City's stupid party trolley and it's no interest loan and it turns out KANSAS CITY TAXPAYERS ARE PISSED!!!

I don't blame them.

To wit, a rather intelligent and KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTER informs us of the following.

First, he clues us in with his subjective opinion that makes a lot of sense:

"Bill George's Employer - Veolia . . . There's a lot more on this company . . . This outfit abuses labor and corrupts politics while gaining incredible concessions and placements on public boards. This is only achieved by the type of political activity that George engages in. Controversy is very fluid in Phoenix and Indianapolis."

Not so surprisingly The Parent Company of The Pitch has picked up on this controversy but you might not read about it in local publications because of the local ad drought and the lavish advert giveaway but The KC Strip . . . FINANCED BY KANSAS CITY TAXPAYERS OF COURSE!!!

Veolia Transportation Deal: Phoenix Gave Away More Than $3 Million to Veolia by Waiving Poor Perform

Even better, check out this part of the communique from the KICKASS TKC TIPSTER that contains facts, offers a bit of a preview and a bit of speculation of things that might soon come to pass.

Check it:

"In KC, Veolia already has around $20M a year in contracts (KCMSD, KCATA, KCI Shuttle) and George is angling for an exclusive taxi concession at KCI. He might also be the lead lobbyist to privatize the Water Department (their largest business) and is likely to be involved with the proposed sell off of the airport. Some people are thinking that a current Council person will become employed by Veolia once leaving office. Such an arrangement is exactly what they have done in other locales."

The first fact is scary and the ensuing predictions are downright frightening for local taxpayers . . .

However, I'm interested in just one small aspect of the Bill George Biz empire and I'm picking it apart because it's stupid . . .

THE KANSAS CITY STRIP MUST SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY AND PAY BACK THE NO INTEREST LOAN BECAUSE IT'S A STUPID AND DOOMED BUSINESS IDEA!!!

I don't want some froggy company sending a hit man to my mom's basement and I think the speculation of the bigger deals are above my pay-grade . . . However, I know for a fact the running a cold-ass trolley during the Winter and burning up Kansas City Taxpayer cash is just a DUMB IDEA.

The fight for Kansas City taxpayer rights starts with calling out The Kansas City Strip and the kind of stupidity that would offer A NO INTEREST LOAN FROM KANSAS CITY TAXPAYERS TO SUPPORT SUCH A FOLLY!!!

Try as I might, I can't solve all of Kansas City's problems BUT in much the same way that it's a fact the JBS Underwear Advert adoring this blog post proclaims that dudes don't want to see other dudes in their skivvies . . . It's also a fact that the Achilles' heel of Bill George business domination of Kansas City is this lame trolley that's nothing more than a money loser and should be shut down immediately rather than continue it's taxpayer subsidized fail and ongoing obfuscation of low ridership facts, misplaced priorities and sweatheart deals from the public.

Developing . . .

  1. City Hall is laced full of corruption.

  2. Slam. Bam. Thank you Mam.

  3. Shut it down ? Nearly 300 people rode on a cold, snow filled weekend. What about the twenty or so people that work on the Strip project that have no connection to Veolia? They should lose their jobs because you don't like their boss? Maybe they don't want to move back into their mom's basement.

  4. There's are lot of people investigating the company for a lot more than that dumb Trolley. The key is the Bill George influence. His dealings fall completely in line with what's happened in other cities throughout the world.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Who cares?
The voting taxpayer doesn't. They just keep reelecting the same people that support corruption. So it really doesn't matter how corrupt city hall gets. Just sit back and take it.

  6. J.C. Penney said Monday 1/24/11 that it would close six underperforming stores, two call centers, 19 outlet stores and one furniture outlet.

    The recovery is underway!

  7. He's pushing the new hotel too. What's he have to gain there? Maybe a private contract for convention transportation to/from. Sounds like inside dealing with some big contributions to ice the cake.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Why has anyone let this scumbag, George, near the decison of whether or not the City can afford to pay for a $350 Million Convention Hotel. Of course we cant't...now go vote for whoever is running against Cindy Circo.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Check Circo's MEC report.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm not for shutting it down. Just stop all taxpayer support.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I thought it was an interest free loan? Short of calling in the loan what can they do now?

All we ever hear is how concerned they are about neighborhoods and yet they fund crap like this for their contributors instead of neighborhoods. I don't know how much this cost but I wonder how many trips from a neighborhood stop to a community center could have been funded instead? We have plenty of busses and cabs out there to drive people around. Why did our city even feel the need to make a loan to these people anyway?

  12. The Strip deal was seed money to develop a service that would help out local nightlife. It is doing that and for a far cry from the cost of other city blunders. Who cares about a $250,000 loan when there are deals done in the millions that never pay back a cent and don't help anyone?

This is like the Republicans focusing gays in the military while millions and millions suffer in health care hell.

  14. 2:23 : the issue is that George and Nigro scamed the Council. They could have funded the thing themselves not cried poverty when George works for a huge MULTI-BILLION $ Company. Odds are the Council had no idea what they were getting into.

  15. Did they default on the loan? Did they not do what they said they were going to do? Am I missing something?

I would like to thank the citizens of K.C. for all that they have done to elect all these dumbasses to public office.

Me an many others get many, many, laughs out of these clowns and crooks.

Please re-elect the Gruesome-Twosome. Those two are a laff riot. Don't know why everyone bags on them. They are only a reflection of the folks that vote for them.

Please keep it up. Humor is very good for the soul.

  19. And so did Deb Hermann.

  20. Your “source” for all this b.s. is Craig Bates. Anyone in the local cab business knows he has been the Wil E. Coyote to Bill George’s Roadrunner for years. Using your blog is his idea of the latest ACME tool to kill the Roadrunner.

    ReplyDelete
  21. It could be Bates but, it looks like George goes off the cliff holding the lit dynamite in this cartoon.

    ReplyDelete
  22. This is much bigger than Bates and Georges ongoing taxi feud.

  24. Long time cabby1/24/11, 4:50 PM

Both cabs guys are very smart. I am a driver and word has it George has a deal rigged with KCI to monoploize the airport with Yellow only. I've worked for both of them and their fathers before. Bates is the leader of the small companies and Yellow George really deosn't give a shit about his cabs but would love to grind out the small guys. The drivers Association has hired a lawyer form St. Louis and a couple of the little companies have a lawyer too.
Good thing someone is checking out this Veoli company, they sound scary for the future. I'm done if the monoploy occurs.

  26. What is city government doing providing seed money to ANY private business? KCMO government does everything BUT focus on even the most basic of services, which, it they did a decent consistent job of doing, would help provide a healthy environment for both residents and business ot live and grow.
$300 grand would hire, train, and equip at least 7 police officers, which is a whole lot more what government should be providing than hotels, trolleys, transportation studies, and all the rest.
KCMO residents have been screwed so long, they're just plain tired, so the voter turnout is low, the insiders and their lap dogs stay at 12th and Oak, and the carnival keeps right on rolling.
Election coming up really soon. Let's see if the voters can rouse themselves off their butts, get to the polls, and elect some folks that actually want to provide some public service.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Do the Bill and Bill team let you smoke on trolleys?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Word is that many on the Council have had it with Bill George. He really pulled a fast one on them with the Trolley deal and they're skeptical about his motives on the hotel. They're happy to have supported the Trolley but had no idea it could have been done without the subsidy which is now so questionable. They also don't like being put in the line of fire on his taxi plan which the locals say would kill them off. He's always all over the place and looking for political help and it's getting tiresome.

    ReplyDelete
  29. You can smoke you can drink you can hump show your tits your junk whatever...no lie...they've been so bold Nigro has posted videos of it. Hilarious. Bates and George are cartoon characters while Nigro is the porn director.

Great issue and coverage Tony you're no punk.

  30. Hot or cold, from a Westport vantage point, the trollys are an empty bust. Every trolly would need to be at least half full for them to begin to be worth a damn. Our tax money is being scammed.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Tim thinks:

I think Tony is jealous of both Bill's, be it their success or their luck or their good fortunes.

The KC Strip Trolley was Bill Nigro's idea and to be quite honest it is brilliant and it will pay its bills (get it) on time. Not only does the trolley take drunks off the road, link our districts, provide incomes, make visitors feel safe and unencumbered, it cannot possibly lose what the Power and Light District losses every month for years and years and years. Years and years and years. Years and years and years. Millions and Millions and Millions. Does half a billion round well. If we (KC)take the loss for pride or vanity and own 70 percent of this entertainment district and gripe over a life saving pretty cool service that is unique and pretty cool: impossible evidently for the ATA bus to even try, then we really do not have much to say to another. You would rather be wrong and controversial than even know what you are saying and to whom.
You go out there in the cold and deal with drunks having a good or bad night and you will earn some respect for the service they provide. Bill Nigro busts his ass to help the trolley any way he knows how. He has integrity. Bill George is proven as a winner. Is jealousy your true girlfriend or just a sad motive? Get the balance right.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hey 10:27 people have "brilliant" ideas in Kansas City all the time. How many can leverage a 60 month - 0 interest loan from City Hall for their idea?

The real story is not the viability of the Trolley (it's numbers have been fluffed but the City will probably get their $ back), THE REAL STORY is how the City Council was railroaded into the loan by "the Bill's" and will the next Council fall for anymore of this kind of BS.

    ReplyDelete
  33. 10:27 aka Bill N or Bill G?

Bill George is a proven winner? really? His own businesses went bust. The only thing he has going for him is OPM (Other people's money) namely, this big French company apparently that he passed off as his own company for years. Did anyone else know until we read it here that George didn't own Yellow Cab? That's a big surprise to me. I do agree that Nigro works hard to support Westport. His heart is in it and that is clear. George's isn't. His big company could have forked over the money themselves but they didn't so that says something about how successful they really thought it would be. BTW Did they bid out the Trolley contract or did it just go to George? Please don't tell me Nigro was in charge of the bid if there was one. Maybe someone knows if there was a fair open bid with our tax dollars.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Don't worry about Bill George.

After this messy deal and then when he fails with the Hotel and his taxi monopoly plan he'll have little political capital left. Both of those plans will make most of the new council very uncomfortable.

Veolia will then have to bring in "out of town" muscle to work on water department privatization.

Nigro can plod on trying to save Westport any way he can. Give him credit for that.

  35. That girl looks ravaged...er, I mean, ravishing.

  36. Yes. One of TKC's hottest pics ever just for this hot issue.

  37. 10:27 is drunk on the Bills kool-aid. The trolly does not get any drunks off the road. What few ride on it get off of it, in to their cars - and still drive home. The Trolly's are mostly empty. The scheme will not pay it's bills.

KC does not need anymore ego-boosting, pocket-lining ideas from these guys.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ce n'est pas Kool-Aid; c'est vin français très cher expedié ici par Veolia. (English translation: That's not Kool-Aid; it's very expensive French wine shipped here by Veolia!)

  39. 2:46 LMAO

That ought to gripe Bill George and his daughter Kim.
