The outgoing Mayor Funky CLAIMS the FBI is looking into the Port Authority but NOBODY can confirm or deny the story as The Star "breaks the news" with a misleading headline.
I don't know how this is a good deal for anyone with the CRYBABY MAYOR SHOUTING TO THE ROOFTOPS REGARDING FEDERAL INVESTIGATION IN KANSAS CITY BECAUSE IT ONLY SHOWS HOW BANKRUPT AND INEFFECTIVE HIS PAST FOUR YEARS OF LEADERSHIP HAVE BEEN!!!

Meanwhile, those of us who remember the last Missouri House session realize that KC Star Fed Investigation never came to pass.

ReplyDeleteThe council directed our city auditor to investigate the Port Authority. Why does mark think that the department he crafted over 18 years is not capable of this investigation? What does he know about the weak auditor's office and when did he know it?

The issue is corruption and the need to expose the conspirators. The city is not capable of investigating itself. Public corruption at the municipal level is best investigated by a higher authortiy. Plain and simple. We should not be so enamored with any political figure that it clouds our common sense. Let the feds proceed and the chips fall where they may.

ReplyDeleteThe story here is not about Funkhouser but about the goings on at the Port Authority. Where there's smoke there's fire. The Mayor continues to have a platform to yell from about the Port Authority only because the city council provides it to him by ducking the issue. EDC keeps asking the council to resolve the issue to no avail. The council has lost focus in a big way.
