KANSAS CITY WHITE PEOPLE STAY WINNING AGAINST DISCRIMINATION THIS WEEK!!!

All things considered, this is a big week in the fight against the persecution of white people . . . Frankly, I didn't even know this kind of thing was a problem before this week.

But, apparently, the fight for white equality is in full gear and Kansas City is on the front lines.

I always celebrate victories and white people getting paid out huge settlements for discrimination is just another step toward all of us on an equal playing field in this entitlement culture that has finally crossed racial lines.

Two Kansas City budget analysts who sued the city alleging they lost their jobs because of reverse discrimination have won their cases in Jackson County Court.

CHECK THE MIKE BURKE PRESSER ON THIS TOPIC AFTER THE JUMP!!!

He's taking aim at Deb Hermann for this one . . . Also, there are a couple of people laying blame at City Manager Troy Schulte as well . . . More interestingly, nobody has any idea where the cash is going to come to pay for all of this . . .

Mike Burke Says Latest Lawsuits Show Incompetence

(KANSAS CITY, MO.) – Mayoral candidate Mike Burke expressed serious concern today
about the latest in a series of court verdicts and settlements in favor of employees who sued the city for discriminatory practices.

“Mayor Funkhouser sings the praises of how spending has been prudent at city hall under his stewardship,” Burke said. “Do you call recent settlements in lawsuits against the city responsible, smart government?”

“Just today, a Jackson County jury awarded two employees $2.6 million in a reverse
discrimination lawsuit. Two days ago, the state Supreme Court upheld a discrimination damage award of nearly $3 million. And, of course we know all about recent settlements totaling $675,000 to employees of the mayor's office,” continued Burke.

“Mark Funkhouser is not the only candidate in this race who has to answer to these lawsuits.

Deb Hermann is chair of the Finance Committee and has been on the council for eight years.

She claims to have presided over peaceful times at city hall. Today's judgment against the city today certainly contradicts that description,” continued Burke.
“These lawsuits have cost the city well over $6 million and these are only the ones we know about. That is enough money to pay for snow removal for more than two years. It would pay for more than six months of trash collection city wide. The mayor wants 100 more police officers on the street. You could hire an awful lot of those officers for $6 million,” continued Burke.

“The bleeding must stop. We need competence at city hall and we need it now,” concluded Burke.

  1. Burke has a lot of gall to talk about incompetence. Wasn't he involved in the Port Authority conflict of interest debacle? His excuse was he was unaware of what was going on.

  2. Mike Burke has supported Troy Schulte for City Manager just like every other candidate except for Sly James. Nice try to try to deflect the blame. This lawsuit falls squarely on Schulte's shoulders. Do you all still think he's competent to be City Manager? I don't. We should also be challenging the competency of the City Attorney and the HR Director who also allowed this to happen.

  8. WTG Mike! Finally stepping out of the shadows of anonymity and putting your name the negative campaign you've been running. Caught on fast, considering you've never been elected to anything in your life. Being appointed to council was probably easier. Hope your plans for the city are better than what you did to Renaissance North.

  9. Does this mean that when Burke gets out/loses he will be supporting Rowland? Or James? I'm guessing he will go with Rowland since he and Burke are the only ones I know of promising plums in this election so far.

  10. Does anyone at the city know how to properly terminate someone. The answer is no. Why? Because no-one at city hall has ever owned ther own business or risked there own personal monies in making decisions.

    ReplyDelete
  11. What more is there to say. A mayor who has lost a couple of his own lawssuit and encouraged an FBI investigation into his own city with no merit to be found. This city is in dire need of new leadership.

  12. Troy is a nice Iowa boy but a bad CEO. A 1.3 billion dollar CEO with no experience. Hence a lawsuit.

  13. For a lawyer, Burke shows an astongishing lack of understanding about the process. No, wait, he does understand, he just wants to mislead.

How is this Deb's fault? Because she's in charge of finding a way to pay the city's liabilities? She didn't fire anyone. She didn't bring her spouse to city hall. She voted to accept the judicial panel that Melissa Howard was on, but was outvoted.

A city, like a business, gets sued. The connection to Deb is specious at best.

  14. If Hermann had voted no then it would be: "it happened on her watch". Give me a break. I've noticed the lawsuits Hermann tends to vote to settle are when the cost of fighting would be greater. (Or when someone like Cauthen or the Squitiro did something so stupid there wasn't a chance to win.) There's nothing to blame Hermann for on this one.

  15. Tell us Mike Burke, how many millions did you take from the city being paid for Port Authority? And what exactly did you accomplish? How much were you paid for LCRA? Biggest question, how many tens of thousands were you paid for the Renaissance North debacle that sits abandoned today? How about how much money you made on NE 82nd/N Brighton - again, abandoned by your client? If you want to talk wasted dollars, lets talk - I'm ready to hear you out!

  16. 1. Maybe the City needs to quit fucking over its applicants and employees.

    2. The people that did this, Troy Galen and the black council members need to own up to this.

    3. Recent "succession planning" at City Hall was a barely disguised way for Troy and Galen to give raises to their sweeties at City Hall even though we aren't "giving raises this year". Can someone hold these two accountable. Hello, treat people fairly?

  17. If you notice the post at 7:53, you will see that the motion was unopposed by anyone then on the council. Significantly, the Funk was not on the council and was not the Mayor. So maybe his wife has cost the city some cash, but the previous admin, with help from some current council members cost the city real money, as in millions.

  19. 7:53 & 11:20 - What are you talking about? Read the resolution again - it was just a resolution seeking to get a panel....had nothing to do with what followed and caused the lawsuit...just requested a panel to fill some vacancies. I don't get what would be wrong with that (which I assume is why it passed unanimously).

  20. 12:05 wrong!! Don't ASSume...

  21. 11:20 is hoping for the Funk. Me? I'd like to fuck Funk, Burke and the commenter up their asses and cum on their faces.

  22. I'd vote for any ONE of those girls for Mayor. Except for the brunette, I had to do a double take... for they all look alike. Certainly they all have the same plastic surgeon and same guy who does their hair.

  23. "Does anyone at the city know how to properly terminate someone."

Yes, you can terminate for poor job performance, not because they are white or you dislike them. That is illegal.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 6:27: Or because they're older and make more money, which is what is happening a lot these days.

It is stupid to terminate not one, but two people who have had stellar performance reviews for poor performance.

  25. Extend the e-tax, double it to 2%, and let the good times roll!
These folks are involved and concerned about everything BUT actual municipal government. Just look at all the money that's spent on cleaning up cowardice and incompetence and on the insider deals at city hall. Money for actual hands-on services? Not so much.
When the residents and taxpayers put up with this crap year after year and elect the same old folks the same old way, they have no one to blame but themsleves!

  26. White is beautiful.

  27. 7:43: Bring out the guillotines!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Seriously, as smug as some of the comments have been about discrimination against whites, what difference does race make when anyone is unfairly terminated--especially in this labor market. These folks are both at a stage in life where finding another job is just about impossible. Does their race make their treatment any less unfair than if they'd been black or Hispanic?

    ReplyDelete
  29. The poster is right. The resolution just asked for names to come before them. Look at the discussion and interviews and you will see there were some council members who wanted to select from the panel they were given. Barnes and a few members rejected them based on not having a black to choose from. Better do some additional checking to see what was said.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It is also illegal to say "we need to hire a black woman for this municipal court judge job" or "we need a woman assistant city manager" etc. The city got burned three times recently.

    ReplyDelete
  31. There is no such thing as "reverse" discrimination. When it happens, it is simply discrimination.
