TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! MAYOR FUNKY THE GRINCH USES X-MAS MONEY TO CAMPAIGN!!!

In this silly election season amid the holidays Mayor Funky has reached a new low.

Let's make it quick and plain so that it's easy for everyone (especially me) to understand . . .

Here are the facts:

A couple of years ago Mayor Funky cut funding to Parks & Rec parties put on throughout the community.

In an X-mas miracle, one member of the Parks Board member was able to raise 30k for the community parties to continue with the help of friends.

Last year in an open meeting, the PR consultant Mayor Funky hired to handle the Mayor's X-Mas Tree promised to give at least $5k in support of those parties.

Of course, that money never turned up . . . The Recession and not the Mayor's unpopularity have taken the blame for a STEEP decline in donations to the Mayor's X-mas tree fund over the past few years.

AND NOW . . . DESPITE THE FACT THAT MAYOR FUNKY HAS CONTRIBUTED NOTHING TO FUNDING THE COMMUNITY PARTIES . . . CO-MAYOR FUNKY IS CALLING THE EVENTS "THE MAYOR'S HOLIDAY PARTIES" IN A CONVENIENT BIT OF CAMPAIGN SEASON BRANDING!!!

Here's the upcoming schedule:

Friday

6 p.m. Mayor’s Holiday Party
Westport Roanoke Community Center, 3601 Roanoke Way

Saturday

10 a.m. Mayor’s Holiday Party
Gregg Klice Community Center, 1600 John “Buck” O’Neil Way

11 a.m. Mayor’s Holiday Party
Tony Aguirre Community Center, 2050 Pennway

12 p.m. Mayor’s Holiday Party
Southeast Community Center, 4201 E 63rd Street

12 p.m. Mayor’s Holiday Party
Garrison Community Center, 1124 E. 5th Street

1 p.m. Mayor’s Holiday Party
Hillcrest Community Center, 10401 Hillcrest Road

Yet again, Mayor Funky is taking credit for the work of somebody else, using his office to campaign and basically missing the point of these holiday events.

I don't really care to describe the real meaning of Christmas but I'm hoping that beyond all of the lights and decorations it holds a little bit more significance than a desperate politico using every last opportunity to trick voters into thinking that he accomplished something besides serving the best interests of his wife's smudge stick and bare feet.
